Released May 26th with lead single 'Money On My Mind' coming February 16th.

Can hopefully live up to the hype he's getting.

1. Money On My Mind

2. Good Thing

3. Stay With Me

4. Leave Your Lover

5. I'm Not The Only One

6. I've Told You Now

7. Like I Can

8. Life Support

9. Not In That Way

10. Lay Me Down

Love "Money On My Mind" lots so I'm intrigued to hear what the rest will sound like!

Deluxe Edition:

11. Restart

12. Latch (Acoustic)

13. La La La

14. Reminds Me of You

15. Make It To Me

The deluxe edition seems to only be digital. Hmmmm, not a fan of 10-track albums to be honest as I'm sure it wouldn't hurt the album to have a couple of extra tracks on it.

It's a shame Nirvana isn't even on the deluxe edition, it's stunning
"Money on My Mind" is very nice, it's weird that there's such a large gap between its release and the album's release though. I imagine the reason it's released in February is because of the BRITs, don't the winners of Critics' Choice usually release their single and album at the same time?
Been hearing Life Support on 1Xtra this week and it's a really good song. Album is shaping up to be something special!

Have you heard of releasing another single just before the album before?

No need to patronise me... He's already had two absolutely massive singles and he's about to have a third, it's called capitalising on momentum.

How is there not a thread for 'Money On My Mind'?

I hope there's a long chart life for this. Very nice!

the lyrics of this single STINK BALLS

[Verse 1]

When I signed my deal

I felt pressure

Don't want to see the numbers

I want to see heaven

You say could you write a song for me?

I say I’m sorry I won’t do that happily

[Pre-Chorus]

When I go home

I tend to close the door

I never wanted more

So sing with me

Can't you see

[Chorus]

I don't have

Money on my mind

Money on my mind

I do it for

I do it for the love

Oh dear, seeing them written down makes me squirm even more than hearing the actual song does.

Was excited for him after what he did last year but this is dire.

^ Did anyone see Popjustice's post about the lyrics during their BRITs live-blog yesterday? Made me  - here it is anyway.

20:47 Have you ever actually read the lyrics to 'Money On My Mind'?

You don't really notice how bad they are when he's singing them, but CHRIST ALIVE.

20:49 The Worst Lyrics In Money On My Mind: A List

1. When I signed my deal, I felt pressure

2. Don't wanna see the numbers, I wanna see heaven

3. You say, could you write a song for me? I say, I'm sorry I won't do that happily

^^ That's just the first three lines of the song

4. When I go home, I tend to close the door

^^ Cheers for that Sam

5. I don't have Money on my mind Money on my mind I do it for I do it for the love

^^ ("I employ lawyers and accountants and managers and live agents to have it on their minds instead")

6. Cause I'm not a puppet, I will work against your strings

^^ Oh dear

Basically it continues in that vein.

Got me thinking though; the song is obviously about his artistic intentions over money-making etc but it's also seemingly about the pressure he was under from his label to write a hit. So it's interesting that he wrote a song about this pressure to write a hit song...which was chosen to launch him, becoming that desired hit song :D. Pretty cool, but doesn't stop the lyrics from being woeful unfortunately.

Sara Bareilles did that first.

Sara Bareilles ALWAYS gets there first. A true trailblazer of our time - just ask Katy Perry.

BEFORE SAM WAS FAMOUS
