Liam Payne might be giving Louis Tomlinson a run for his money when it comes to the sassiest member of One Direction these days, but he's reavealed that actually, he's quite shy.

 

Yep, despite being one of the most vocal members in 1D interviews and his feisty Twitter rants (LOVE those) Liam admitted to Top of The Pops magazine that he's a bit of a wallflower at heart.

 

Responding to a reader who asked 'Who's the shyest out of all of you?' Liam said: "I'd say I was. Although it doesn't look like it when there are cameras around cos I will be out there a little bit.

 

"But when people ask for photos and stuff like that, I'm honestly not very good with it all. I haven't got the confidence. Adn I'd never go up to anyone asking for their autopgraph, no way!"

I can well believe that actually. He was very shy during the X-Factor.

We can kind of see why Liam Payne has such a problem with social media these days and he’ll have an even bigger issue if he looks at what’s being said by some people on Twitter tonight.

 

The star appeared in a video message to a fan, which was later uploaded to Vine and the clip has caused quite a furore amongst the 1D fan base.

 

In the video Liam is just saying hi to one of his dedicated Directioners, but it seems it’s attracted attention for all the wrong reasons, with some fans branding him ‘fat’ after watching the film.

 

One Twitter user tried to be diplomatic with her comments and said:

 

“Liam looked so not himself in that vine”

 

Others posted about the clip and said:

 

” liam is fat”

Some people even tried to blame Payne’s girlfriend Sophia Smith on his supposed weight gain and one tweeted:

Luckily for the One Direction star, as well as the haters, he also had thousands of supporters.

 

Messages came flooding in, in support of the Little Things singer and they included:

The weird thing about it all is that Payne has come under the spotlight recently for being too skinny, not the other way around.

 

His former driving instructor revealed that the star barely eats, goes for days on nothing more than a KitKat and some coffee and is obsessed with working out.

 

He has his own gym, his own personal trainer and is currently preparing to head out on a world tour.

 

We just hope Liam is steering clear of Twitter tonight and that he’s out enjoying himself, having a nice dinner and looking past all the negativity.

He always comes across a bit cocky in interviews to me, but I don't really see him that much so wouldn't know. :P

One Direction star Liam Payne has has opened up about the most embarrassing moment of his life in a new interview - recalling a childhood incident that saw him wetting himself in front of a girl he liked.

 

The popstar was only seven years old when the incident happened, and to top it all off he also burst into tears when it happened.

 

The hunk, who is now dating Sophia Smith, told Top Of The Pops magazine: "When I was seven, a girl I really liked tickled me and I wet myself.

 

"Then she laughed, 'cause she was a lot older, but I cried and it was terrible. I actually really fancied her and I'd ruined everything."

 

However, there was a happy ending eventually - when they came face-to-face once again after one of the boyband's gigs.

 

"I saw her the other day, 'cause she came to our concert," he explained. "So it was one of my redeeming moments: 'You just came to my concert so now you can let me off wetting myself.'"

 

One Direction are about to embark on their mammoth Where We Are stadium tour, which will take them around the world once again following the huge success of the Take Me Home arena jaunt in 2013.

 

They're also in the process of recording their fourth studio album, which is expected to be released at the end of the year.

One Direction's Liam Payne is known for his honesty to his fans especially when they are already getting out of line, as with the case of some fans who were the subject of some of his Twitter shout-outs. Still fans seem to support the 20-year-old singer and still hang around his house after he has already pleaded to have some privacy.

 

Many are saying that he should already get used to it as it comes with the territory of being a celebrity but the British singer asked his fans for the second time last April 8th. This second tweet was posted by "Midnight Memories" singer three months after sending out his first message to his fans to not camp outside his house.

 

The address of Liam's house was still unknown to fans and he was able to enjoy his private time with himself or with his close friends. However, after he posted several photos of him and his friends in his flat, One Directioners were able to guess the address of the young singer. This made his world a little bit smaller as fans started flocking his building and waiting for him to come out, according to Seventeen Magazine.

 

A tweet from Liam said "Please don't sit outside my house it's the one place I get to be myself and not have people taking pictures." Apparently, the fans are asking him for photos but he has already started refusing them as he thinks that more will come if he started letting his fans take pictures with him.

 

He also tweeted "I'd just like to be able to walk outside as everyone does and enjoy my time with my friends, not feel bad for not wanting to take a picture." This warranted several response from his followers with one girl saying "If I had so many people adoring me and making tons of money??? I wouldn't complain on the internet about it."

 

Liam Payne's Twitter account is surrounded by controversy and in his recent pleads for privacy, some fans were on his side regarding this invasion of privacy and have asked other fans to stop coming to his house.

I totally agree with him, you shouldn't go camping outside their damn house! If they're in a public place then fine.

It's easy to say that just because you love a celebrity as much as you do and you'd probably love the attention for all of one day. But after a while it'd take its toll. People have no perspective at all. :drama:

I think as young person you think that the celebrity owes you and you own a part of them, you buy their music, buy their products etc. and you fail to see them as normal people, you feel like you know them.

 

I have witnessed many fans in my time and they have no real sense of reality and believe they have a right to photos and autographs.

Even though Liam Payne is a very well mannered young lad from Wolverhampton, and Pharrell Williams is a bit of a gangster bloke with a thing for dodgy hats, they’ve actually got more in common than you’d think. Anyway, although it’s not really the most likely of friendships, Liam and Pharrell hit it off when they worked together on some new material last year, and it looks like they’re planning on rekindling their bromance soon as they revealed on Twitter that they’ll be back in the studio soon. AWOO.
