f***, Secret Love Song could have easily been platinum with just a little more promo and radio support, right? Has it been done before besides Spice Girls? A girlgroup with a 3rd single going platinum..

I think it will end around the 500k mark.

I remember seeing LMLY being performed everywhere. Wish they would do the same with SLS.

So, it will be gold next week, right? Streams are down, but the NOW version is already #101 with the album version #23.. Streams are going down though.. Hopefully with the big shows happening everything gets a boost!

Atomic Kitten's 'Whole Again' was single #5 from their debut album (although I always thought it was single #1 from the re-release, but it seems it was on the original too).

 

The song could have done so much better with a decent video and in fact any promo on or close to impact week (also could have been pushed when it managed as high as #3 on iTunes weeks before impact week, but I suppose impact weeks are kinda hard to shift). I feel like it did have a good enough amount of radio support; I certainly still hear it lots on Capital and other smaller stations, although it could have been even bigger if other factors boosted the song. Still, the song has been a huge success regardless and will outsell 'Love Me Like You' by the looks of things.

It had excellent Capital support, which is why it did as well as it did I think, it only really had 2 weeks A list on Radio 1 which isn't great considering how well it was doing and it was only played on Heart for about a week and has been played 16 times on Radio 2 total. So it was good, not great.

This era has been all about estabilishing themselves! Now I think every (good) single with decent promo will be certified gold and hopefully at least 2 platinum singles next era.

DNA singles sales = 1,086,717 (probably approx 25k missing from trickle sales from DNA, Change Your Life and How Ya Doin')

Salute singles sales = 795,229 (885,229 with Word up!) (Trickle sales missing from Salute, Little Me and Word Up)

Get Weird singles sales = 1,544,000 (All three singles still charting within the official top 200).

20 is bloody Justin Bieber with Sorry. When will the UK move on?

Hopefully they can go up 1 spot and remain in the top 20 another week
