Are we forgetting one of the best selling albums of all time? :D

Shania!.....mind you even that was a while ago now. :( Every once in a while country does seem to grab the country's imagination so I'll claim "Red" as this decade's "Come On Over" (with a fraction of the sales) :D

Yeah, country isn't exactly a big thing in the album market in the UK. Seems to be more of a US thing where Taylor's actual country stuff was successful, along with acts like Lady Antebellum and Carrie Underwood.

Well Lady Antebellum have had pretty decent albums success here as well (3 top 10s and 'Need You Now' must have racked up quite decent sales by now as well as its title track). Not nearly as well as they do in the USA of course but not bad either.

Since the beginning of the decade the Foo Fighters GH has only moved 5 places, a consistency outdone by one album outside the top 10, it sold another 66k in 2013. Robbie Williams drops 2 places with the first of his three albums in this list and Will Young, Black Eyed Peas, and Cheryl Cole all reverse the order they held last year.

Who’d a thought 2 years ago that Rod Stewart would have two albums in the top 100 of the decade so far by 2013? Well that’s where he finds himself with two albums over the half million mark. Ben Howard moves up 36 places during the year, that’s a climb which is beaten by only one album which is yet to feature. Westlife haven’t done too badly with a second GH set after the first one did well over a million.

86. ELIZA DOOLITTLE- Eliza Doolittle (44-49-66-86) 452,000

I still can't believe how she failed so hard with her second album. Only 7.500 bought her last album. She was so successful three years ago. Ironic but her first single from her last album was fatefull..Big when she was little..

Double platinum time for Jake Bugg whose new album looks like struggling to match these sales and a slight dip for Beyonce who looks like she could easily join this list in 12 months time. A second appearance for Paloma Faith who bucks the trend and outsells her debut set, meanwhile “Only By The Night” continues to approach 3 million very slowly selling a little under 50k in 2013.

With only one album left here Susan Boyle continues to drop at any unhealthy rate and could be missing entirely in a couple of years. Two new arrivals in this batch come courtesy of Robbie Williams (with the last No 1 album of this survey) who had the 4th biggest seller of 2013 and Ellie Goulding who is rapidly approaching sales of her debut album.

Out of the 50 albums so far, I only bought 6, but then again i'm not the biggest albums buyer. Glad to see Paloma relatively high!

Starting off the top 50 with the Buble, he now has three albums on our chart with his 2013 set “To Be Loved” is the third highest new album on this chart. As we say hello to him we say goodbye to another act with 3 albums here, JLS whose 2010s best seller “Outta This World” dips out of the top 40. Mild falls for Chase & Status and Rebecca Ferguson counter a moderate rise for Rihanna, her last album “Unapologetic” has been only a “middling” success by her standards.

2013'’s best seller enters the decade list at No 45, it’s also the first for One Direction who have their entire album discography in this list, it took just 5 weeks to outsell anything else in the year. Everything else is falling except Calvin Harris who rockets 47 places upwards to be the highest climber on this chart and of course hit the headlines earlier this year for being the first album to generate 9 top 10 hits, his collaborator on one of those singles “I Need Your Love” sits one place above him. Robbie also bows out at No 43 though “Swings Both Ways” looks like it should have no trouble passing IAOFC this year.

The top 40 arrives with just one climber in this lot, David Guetta who rises 10 places with “Nothing But The Beat” thanks to a couple of re-issues otherwise it’s drops all around with the biggest drop reserved for Justin Bieber who was very active last year but sees little of that activity reflected in purchases of “My World”.

A P!nk double as TTAL virtually halves its 2012 position overtaking her GH set which is barely moving on this rundown year in year out and has only ventured three places between its highest and lowest position over those 4 charts. It’s an hello to Olly Murs who is the last act to debut on this chart who has three albums in total proving him to be the best selling albums act to come from the X Factor this decade.

Do you have the Pink sales the wrong way around?

No my 6 shoulda been an 8 :D

Great consistency from pink again, impressive. I think the truth about love will go slow and steady this year still and her GH will trickle sell as it has continued to do. Great olly has outsold 1D album for album (in sales order), shows how big he is here

Whilst some were disappointed with the initial sales of “Unorthodox Jukebox” it hasn’t disgraced itself and becomes our highest new entry on the decade list at No 30. Bon Jovi are on the up again and given 48 months they may even make the million mark, something which Alicia Keys may do though at her current rate that 10k required may take a while. Lana’s also up 6 places as “Born To Die” is now the 10th biggest album of the decade by a female soloist.

Plenty of action in these five albums with Paolo Nutini, and Lady Gaga becoming casualties of the top 20 clearout 2013, though sales of “Sunny Side Up” now stand at 1.75 million copies since its 2009 release. An 18 Place climb for One Direction doesn’t look that impressive compared to the 26 place vault for “Babel” which should become a second million seller for Mumford & Sons in 2014.
