Well Busta Rhymes' last top 20 hit ('C'mon (Catch 'Em By Surprise)', 2011) was more recent than Sophie's ('Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)', 2009)

GO SOPHIE!

Love the bones of that girl, but I can't say I'm overly enthused about this new era of coffee table music. :(

Still, seeing her perform in a couple of weeks. Hopefully get to meet her again too!

He was talking about 'The A Team' (and I think 'I See Fire' is a single, it was just released as an instant grat from the film soundtrack rather than being given a proper single release).

I'm assuming this is the song in the Center [sic] Parcs ad?

 85. Rather Be (feat. Jess Glynne) - Clean Bandit

The Vamps pre-order still not top 200. Starting to think this may actually be #1 (or at least the highest new entry, wouldn't surprise me if #1 that week is just Pitbull/Pharrell again).

Wont the Vamps have a million versions on the week of release to get to no1? That is maybe something to do with the lack of pre order - would love Clean Bandit to get the no1!

"Best Day Of My Life" is going to be bigger than "Riptide", isn't it? Damn.

Riptide has blimbed 30 places in the past 2 days its now alisted on radio 1 so i can see it climbing into the top 40 soon enough - will it be like Passenger though im not sure?

The Vamps do have a few extra versions but they're not even top 1,500 on pre-orders now. They're not exactly likely to sell to anyone besides the core fanbase so unless Clean Bandit and the main version of 'Wild Heart' are close together I don't think they'll be significant enough. The EP may have a bigger impact but even then that's well outside the top 100 on pre-orders, doing far worse than the 'Can We Dance' EP (although IIRC 'Can We Dance' didn't have a single pre-order for its main version which would explain why its EP did better). Currently Clean Bandit's pre-order is #83, The Vamps' is at #212 + #151 EP + negligible pre-orders of the other versions, would say CB are still easily ahead overall.

The Vamps do have a version with Pixie Lott coming out as well though apparently which may have more of a purchase incentive beyond the core fanbase - that version isn't up for pre-order yet though.

But as I say, Pitbull/Pharrell could easily beat both of them, neither of their pre-orders are exactly suggesting massive hits (though Clean Bandit are steadily climbing) and the sales of 'Timber' and 'Happy' seem to be holding up fairly well unless overall sales are due to slump significantly this week.

Flop! :P

nice to see Sophie Ellis Bextor top 100 - why did it take so long - it was released in 2013!

OA/OS. It has evidently been slowly creeping up the top 1500 without anyone noticing.

Should be #1 in July or so.

EDIT: Wow iTunes thread is slow today.

Beyonce top 10?! I'm assuming airplay is really kicking in.

On TV, but radio is barely touching it unfortunately!

Capital will jump on the bandwagon now that it's top 10. ;)
