I was half expecting Tosh to rescue Kat and miscarry at the same time.

Will they be doing Jim's funeral after the passing of John Bardon?

Not as dramatic as 2002 with the Slater's fire. But quite powerful showing Kat's burns and Alfie's.

The ending was a bit sad, it was horrible seeing Kat's burns at the end.

I like the way they are panning the stories lately, one week they concentrate on one family, and the following week another family takes centre stage.

The fire scenes were exciting but I felt it was a bit of an anti climax but it was a good episode and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next!

I'm also excited to see what happens at Phil and Sharon's wedding, that's going to be a huge week!

I can't see how they won't. They'll just have to work out when to do it, may be a bit difficult if Nick is returning soon and there will be all the drama about that occurring.

I know it wasn't quickly added in but the mentioning of Jim in last night's episode was nice.

In terms of last night's ratings, it was seen by 6.65m viewers - the highest Tuesday overnight ratings since Lucy's funeral on 20 May - and its share of 34.5% was the highest since 2 June.

Jims death will certainly be acknowledged and also a nod to late brilliant John. I do agree it will be left until the Nick drama is complete, sometimes the soaps hold back for many months when someone dies in real life before they do the on screen funeral.
It took 2 years for them to kill Frank Butcher off. They have to do it when the timing is right.

It's too soon with Dot having the Nick drama, plus the lack of Brannings in the Square would mean a smaller impact. I'd like them to maybe have a special tribute week in around January time, followed with the final climax of the Lucy Beale storyline in February.

They need to bring back Suzy, April, Bianca, Robbie and Jack for that week. It would be odd if all of his children and grandchildren weren't there.

I agree. It needs to be a big send off not a rushed plot. The children really are a must.
Can't wait for Shirley stripping, next week.

:puke: No thanks.

There's a comment of how Phil's eyes should be looking at the floor in the spoiler picture that makes me chuckle!

Agreed and Dominic has the nack of getting characters to make brief returns, i hope all the actors/actresses can do it or will do out out of a mark of respect for John.

I NEED a Suzy return! I loved her

I randomly watched her exit on Christmas 2008 the other day, just so bitchy and sassy!

Nice to see Scotland got a plug with the No vote

And Ben makes an entrance next week.

That was great!

Shaun was a terrible actor!

What was the plug??

Sean wasn't terrible at all. He was great and I absolutely loved his reaction to Suzy's legendary rant. He looked like he couldn't contain his laughter. "Sean. You're hot. You're roastin' baby." <3
