Next to drop out of the running to be crowned the best One Direction song by the members of Buzzjack is 'C'mon, C'mon', one of the best non-singles on 'Take Me Home' (although most of the album is "one of the best"). How this ended up below 'Rock Me' which comes in at #28 is beyond me. 'Rock Me' is the weakest track on the boys' second album by a landslide, don't get the fuss for it at all when there are far better ('Little Things' running pretty close to it). Below 'Rock Me' is 'Moments', one of the deluxe edition tracks from 'Up All Night'. It's a great track, and definitely the better of the two, but at least a deluxe track is just what it is.
One of the deluxe tracks from 'Midnight Memories' is next to drop out and that is the beautiful 'Half a Heart', I'd probably rank it among the boys' top 5 ballads, like, ever [/taylor]. Liam's lyrics at the beginning are a bit cringey to listen to repeatedly, but the rest of the song is just beautiful. Very Zayn and Harry heavy, and it's great when their voices shine through on songs like this. <3 Finally, 'Another World', the b-side to 'Gotta Be You' closes this section (I gather the popular opinion would be that this should have been single #2 as opposed to what actually was, but oh well). It's a great track, and probably should have been on the album instead of some of the tracks that are (alongside 'Na Na Na').

Giselle :@ We now enter the top 20 (CallumTheSats will be glad to know :kink:), and two amazing songs are lost along the way! *cries* 'Up All Night' is the title track from the boys' début album and in parts signifies where it all started for them, having Katy Perry on replay because she put Niall through (imagine if she didn't? part of the music we know and love today would be non-existent). It's definitely one of the album highlights (not that there's much in terms of 'highlights' on 'Up All Night') - would I be in a minority saying I'd have loved it to be a single? Could have done well I think, even if it does sound a bit dated now.
Now then, now then... 'Last First Kiss' was the song that I automatically LOVED on first listen to 'Take Me Home', with a burning passion. It slowly became my favourite of theirs and was a PC success. Obviously there are better songs now but I still have such a massive soft spot for the song. Indefinitely one of their best ballads and one of the best from their first two albums (nothing really compares to most of 'Midnight Memories', let's be honest x). Would have loved this to be a single, but alas, it was not. Zayn singing most of it and being the star of the video, eek! IMAGINE.

'Last First Kiss' is lovely. :wub: Pleased to see it within the Top 20.

Last First Kiss deserved to be Top 10. Hopefully They Don't Know About Us makes up for it.

I agree that "Up All Night" sounds a bit dated now, I love it nowhere near as much as I did a couple of years ago (same for "I Want" really) but it's still one of the best from the debut.

 

"Last First Kiss" is great, I think it's one of the tour highlights too. :wub:

'Up All Night' is one of those songs where it works much better live than the studio track.

So at #17 we have the second best non-single from Up All Night (More Than This being the best x) both in my opinion and from the rate results. Taken is a ballad, led by Harry in the chorus, and was an instant favourite of mine. Just below it is Little White Lies, taken from Midnight Memories. Feel this may be a little bit too high? Still pretty damn good though.

'Little White Lies' is just PERFECTION. Definitely deserves to be top 20 :wub: In my top 2 from the album for sure.

'Taken' is lovely but there are better ballads on the album.
