'You & I' is the first of four songs from the boys' third album 'Midnight Memories' to drop out. Not going to question its place in the top 10 at all, because it really is one of their most beautiful ballads and one of the highlights on the album! I'm not really sure it compares to others on the album ('Right Now' and 'Half a Heart'), though. I can imagine this will be part of a beautiful section on the upcoming Where We Are tour - wedged between 'Change My Mind' and 'More Than This', possibly? Ball will be happy to know this got a placing in the top 10 considering it's apparently the best he's heard! x

Another track from 'Midnight Memories' here, this time 'Happily'. Definitely one of the best album tracks, although given where it falls on the track-list sometimes I find it sounds a bit pale in comparison to what precedes it (the AMAZING 'Strong'). It's a lovely, fun and energetic one and it leads into 'Right Now' perfectly. I'm sure Joseph would agree that Harry sounds fantastic on it [when does he not?] (all of them do really, apart from Louis). Much like 'Strong', it has the sing-along chorus that is led into beautifully from the verses. "I JUST WANT IT TO BE YOU AND I FOREVER" - said Zayn Malik to Calum Sandé x

Into the top eight now, and next to drop out is a SENSATIONAL album track from the boys' second album 'Take Me Home'. I'd say this is a concrete highlight, but the rest of the album is just as good and so so strong so it puts up a fierce fight! I see this song is something they've tried to re-create for their third album 'Midnight Memories, for 'Does He Know?' is very similar in sound to this. I think I love this so much because of the insanely beautiful parts that both Zayn and Harry have, and the whole feel of the song is just so incredibly energetic. Would love to see them perform this live (the 'Take Me Home' tour would have captured the moment perfectly, I imagine).

'I Would' the number 1 single that never was </3. A shame Rich didn't vote as I know he's a huge fan of 'I Would'.

Here is the proper justice you wanted Jáhq... 'More Than This' is next to drop out. It is a single. No it's not a single. Is it a single? It's not a single, no? Argh, Joseph, clear this up for us. :heehee: The promotional single (proper single?!) from the boys' début album 'Up All Night' is one of their best ballads! So beautiful (but still not better than 'Gotta Be You' IMO!). Criminal that it didn't get a proper video instead of just shots from the Up All Night tour. Can't imagine it being that different to the 'Gotta Be You' or 'Little Things' videos though?

More Than This is a brilliant song and it really should've been released over Gotta Be You I think.

I agree despite not being huge on it myself. Anything would've done better business tbh.

Very [pleasantly] surprised to see this rank as high as it has! Fully deserving of a position in the top 10. It's one of the best songs from 'Take Me Home' and performed live it was absolutely stunning. The chorus alone makes the song fabulous, but with everything else thrown into the mix it makes for a perfect One Direction / pop song. That now leaves us with five songs battling it out for the top spot, but which one will win? We've a mix of songs from 'Up All Night', 'Take Me Home' and 'Midnight Memories'. Which album claims the ultimate song? Coming soon xo
Amazing track, easily a top 3 highlight from "Take Me Home". :wub: A song where I REALLY love the Louis section too, really lifts the song for me. Am I alone in this :unsure:??
