April 8, 20205 yr Author Ending of MAFS: As I mentioned, my first visit to the Franchise and I was impressed! I wasn't really sure what the point was, and nothing was ever explained on the show. Likkkke... do the final couples WIN the show? Is there a winner? Guess not, which is fine. Tho, I guess you can say Lizzie/Seb won because they were the only last couple. But wow, those are terrible odds? 13 couples and 3 months in only 1 was left? That's pretty sad. If there was ever a MAFS Canada, I'd apply. But I think I'm too ugly haha. Stacey/Michael: Obviously the main couple of the season, they carried the whole show to be honest. I loved them, but I don't think their relationship was genuine at the end of the day. I wish they would have worked out! Apparently Michael is now dating KC (from KC and Drew). Connie/Jonethen: First off, wow. His body is insane. She was nice, but got the insecure edit all the time which was annoying. Mishel/Steve: God she is insufferable. I don't know how Steve put up with her. Not that I'm taking sides, Steve was wrong with a lot that he did.. but Mishel got her nose in everyone else's business.. always had something to say.. I wish they would have left the experiment at some point. It was clear they were never going to work out. The rest aren't worth breaking down. Hayley was annoying AF, I don't see why they kept bring her back all the time to stir up shit. A lot of the later part of the season you could tell Production set up a lot of drama, but the beginning of the season was good to watch. I'll tune in next year, and will go back and watch Season 6 as well.
April 13, 20205 yr Author Start of Masterchef: I realized when I was tuning in that Masterchef Australia was the first Reality TV Show I watched from Australia. Outside of Australian Big Brother. I started probably mid-way through Season 2 and have been hooked ever since. I think out of all the Aussie RTV I've seen, Masterchef has held itself to the higher standard and has always been consistent. Good first episode and great tie ins with the Judges and the Contestants, they left a lot unexplored so I'm excited to see all the real connections. Great cast, I didn't realize they were all Top 12. I'm excited to see where this goes, given everything that's going on.. but I felt a deep loss when George/Matt/Gary left. It was the end of an era really.
April 20, 20205 yr Lego Masters started last night! I've been so hyped for this since the first season ended it's just so fun to watch! There was no elimination last night but I think there is tonight so I'm excited to see whats coming especially after the preview *.* Some amazing builds coming up I'm sure. Andrew and Damian remind me of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from Spongebob so much

I'm excited to see where this goes, given everything that's going on.. but I felt a deep loss when George/Matt/Gary left. It was the end of an era really. I haven't watched the first week yet; but given the changes etc the ratings for the first week have been the best for the show for about 5 years. Although possibly helped by the lockdown etc. When I read about the judges all exiting, I thought that the show was gone. However it was maybe smart of them to do this allstars series - bed in the judges and get people back with old favourite contestants before going on with another series.
April 20, 20205 yr Author They've changed a few things. 'Immunity' replaced by a safety competition, only one person is safe for the week. Everyone else cooks in the elimination on Sundays. Really annoying. I don't need to see 19 chefs cook.
April 25, 20205 yr Author Oh apparently Big Brother Australia is still going to happen? Something going down on Sunday according to their Facebook/Twitter
April 28, 20205 yr Author Masterchef Australia: still trying to figure out what's going on. Why have your eliminations on Sunday? They should go back to Sunday being the start of the week. Also, why are they cooking so much of what they want, or what the judges want? Where are the guest judges? Harry's early boot shocks me. That whole elimination lineup was insane. However the Masterchef AU tradition of the Men going early continues! I do hope however there is a return competition, or a few perhaps? Edited April 29, 20205 yr by Aaron.
May 3, 20205 yr Author Big Brother Australia: Pre-recorded, starts in 5 weeks, playing for $250k. 20 Housemates, first of which has already been revealed. Housemates range in age from 19 to 62. Housemates will evict each other, but Australia decides the winner in a live final.
May 3, 20205 yr Raging at Masterchef. Lost two of my favourites really early on and I’m having to suffer through the return of Reese (my god how much weight has he lost btw!?) and Renald. Can not stand either of them. Pure heartbroken at Dani. Haven’t seen the ep yet but am gutted. She’s one of my absolute all time favourite contestants so I was so hype to see her back. Still got a few I like left but I’m glad that I spent the time watching all the old seasons on prime last year
May 4, 20205 yr Author I'm happy Dani went.. Not here for another season of her Immunity Pin Drama. Bring on the cooking! :cheer:
May 5, 20205 yr Author Masterchef:  ugh. So close. Now he's going to cook ice cream all the way to the final again.

June 1, 20205 yr Author Masterchef Australia: Shocked and saddened by ***JESS'*** elimination. I was waiting for the big one this season, but really didn't think it was going to be them. I honestly felt they were going to be Top 5 at least. This season has just been sublime however, such a great show to take your mind off of everything going on. I had no idea they were still filming so recently as well, I would have thought they would have filmed this last year. Unfortunately as they decided to keep filming during COVID, obviously no more Restaurant or Public Challenges, it's really going to be the Top 10 always cooking in that Studio, isn't it. At least we got half a season not impacted by COVID.. will be interesting to see how the rest plays out.
June 9, 20205 yr Author Big Brother Australia Launch: That was f***ing awful. All they needed to do was recreate BBUS, like they have done with Australian Survivor. Almost unwatchable. Angela was the only decent housemate, I can't believe they're throwing more people in. Such a disappointment.
June 14, 20205 yr Big Brother Australia Launch: That was f***ing awful. All they needed to do was recreate BBUS, like they have done with Australian Survivor. Almost unwatchable. Angela was the only decent housemate, I can't believe they're throwing more people in. Such a disappointment. Funny you mention Survivor given this is basically Survivor but bad. Honestly who has EVER asked for Big Brother to be 0% live and focus around housemates fighting it out for immunity challenges where they get to pick who gets sent home. Like it's just not good. Sure it means they can edit the absolute hell out of it, as Australian TV regularly does in order to capitalise on marketing and engineer an often non-existent storyline, but wow the extremes they go to. Gone are the days when people can go on television and simply showcase their skills (MKR, etc.) or their personalities (BB) without being over the top at every possible interval. Nowadays you can only go on reality tv if you are either: a) controversial, whether it's your sexuality/nationality/views/attitude; or b) a pushover enough that they can force onto you a personality which revolves around your sexuality/nationality/views/attitude
June 19, 20205 yr loving Masterchef, more than ever, love the new judges, was so so irersome with the same old 3, but the new 3 are great, add so much freshness Poh is hilarious, hope she wins :D Reece is my least favourite but the program seems to love him
June 21, 20205 yr Author Funny you mention Survivor given this is basically Survivor but bad. Except this 4-Episode Angela Arc is SENSATIONAL. She's the best RTV Contestant anyone has found in a while.
June 23, 20205 yr BBAU is lowkey terrible but I'm so obsessed with Angela I don't even care, icon It's just so... odd? Like it sounds stupid but even just the BB voice, it doesn't feel right or even anything like the Big Brother we know (even the US version), it feels like a totally different game based loosely on BB. It doesn't have the fun and heart you used to get from BB Australia and it doesn't have the strategy and tense gameplay you get from BBUS, it's just kind of plodding down its own lane. The fact BBUS has more game, more challenges, and more at stake, this just feels so pointless and it doesn't even have the characters there to back it up other than Angela. Most of the rest seem like rejects from a "normal" series. Really disappointed :( Maybe it ill get better, I just watched the first episode so we'll see
June 24, 20205 yr Author I'm a bit behind, but I'll follow up this weekend. But you're absolutely right. It's awful. I think it's 100% the editing. I can see the bones are there, but they're editing the show to their old 16 year old audience from the old BB Days. Not the way a competitive RTV show should be edited. It doesn't get better with Episode 2, Liam. But there are a few good bits to come. Edited June 24, 20205 yr by Aaron.
