Thanks for posting, OutstandingMike. Interesting sales for some of those tracks. Vanessa Carlton jumps out at me the most! Hasn't she pretty much sold again on download what she sold when the track was a hit? And I don't even recall seeing it make many appearances in the top 75 - must be a real steady seller!

You're welcome, paulc. I just checked on Haven and 'A Thousand Miles' was the 73rd biggest selling song of 2002, selling 130,000. So yes, a very impressive trickle seller indeed!

A Thousand Miles was used in a classic movie (White Chicks), which will keep its exposure up for ever. Also I remember it re-entering the top 40 only recently (can't remember why). And it's got sampled by people like T.I. and Cheryl Cole. Not to mention its beat is very memorable. So I can kind of expect its high trickle sales.
A lot of those don't seem to be "collaborations" to me?

They look more like movie soundtrack songs.

Sorry, I missed (or maybe even jumped over) Mike's first post and assumed these were the songs referred to in the Original Post.

It was my fault tbh. I should have put 'The Top 50 biggest selling movie songs of the 21st century' above the list. Sorry guys!

No worries. I just appreciate the list - thanks again for posting!

No problem. :)

Just a tiny adjustment.. Skyfall is on about 773,000 I believe, or 770,000 to the nearest 10k

Thanks for posting great info!!.

Can't help but notice Madonna's version of Americam Pie isn't on that list.
