Some of the acting from Craig is cringe to say the least. I would agree that he is fine as background material but not a feature storyline that we are receiving now. It really is time for Kirk to go, i enjoyed him for a few years but the novelty has worn off.

Craig started off with some promise though - but I agree - its cringeworthy now. And Faye -(who - the actor - was once vilified for her acting) has actually come on quite nicely.

 

Having said that - as someone who notices sound effects - Craig's throwing up behind the couch was one of the best foley-artist work I've heard in a long time.

Does anyone else think that Vinny will run off with all the money and fleece Phelan? Haven't seen any spoiler but think Phelan also being ripped off would be great. Vinny said last night that he owes a lot of money to bad people.

Sharif is to be fazed out slowly with some of his appearances that are already recorded being edited out leading to his exit. They'd have preferred not to show him again apparently but he was in so much of this week's episodes that they couldn't do that.

I absolutely loved Vinny calling Eileen a silly bint! I really can't wait for her to lose every penny! Cannot stand the character.

Rosie Webster is making a shock return to Weatherfield, as Helen Flanagan heads back to Coronation Street after five years away from the soap.

 

The actress will begin filming at the end of this year and will make her on-screen return in February.

 

Rosie will surprise her parents by arriving back to visit them with her sister Sophie when she returns from their trip to Miami.

Sorry but those special effects tonight were beyond terrible. I cringed so bad, particularly at the 'fire' on Anna's legs. :/

 

Shame because Monday's episodes and Wednesday's were very good with the character-driven scenes. Certainly doesn't help that Emmerdale's stunt was top notch.

I agree, though I did think the last and first 15 minutes of each episode on Friday were quite enjoyable but the 'stunt' itself felt a bit weak and how Gary was ok despite being trapped under the car and the fire spreading to Anna and her reaction looked like something out of a comedy series...

 

Overall though a good week but I do agree that Emmerdale completely smashed everyone and delivered the best scenes I've seen in any soap this year! And I'm not even an Emmerdale fan!

Wtf was Anna doing with her hands when she caught fire :rofl:

 

Kate Oates did such a good job with Emmerdale in her early days but it doesn't even feel like Stuart Blackburn has left :lol:

Could not agree more, it came across as such a shambles compared to an impeccable week for Emmerdale... It was definitely quite Blackburn, it was just so OTT hammy and am-dram, the effects were awful. It was borderline like a parody of a soap stunt...

Catching up w all the soaps I've missed over the last couple of weeks.

 

Caz is super twisted - poor Maria! Roy and his partner (who?) are becoming such a bore. I really like Cath and Shayne though! (Had to use their real names as I forgot their character names somehow)
