Interesting version of Devlin's Rewind on here, launches straight into Diane Birch's chorus which doesn't happen on the version I downloaded from iTunes.

Oh, that was the one Radio 1 used! Might have to download that now. :D

Indeed, the spring ones are often fairly poor. Chart music has been better than I thought recently. Shame the strings version of Little Things wasn't on here though :(
Now 69 was wonderful though! (That's a spring Now, isn't it?)

Yes, it was! :D

I love the album as well, I was listening to it today. Definitely the best Now album since Now 79 for me.

How much do we think that it's going to sell this week? :D I'm predicting that it will sell between 188k to 212k. ^_^

That's true. The beauty of Now 69 however was an early Easter therefore early release. Usually there's around 5 1/2 months from the Winter Now to the Spring one and they pack in so many songs and miss quite a few from that time but for Now 69 I don't believe there was anything missing. There had only been 4 new no.1s between to releases of Now 68 and Now 69.

I don't know what it is this time. Maybe because I've barely listened to the radio since Christmas, most of the tracks still seem fresh? Or perhaps my expectations were so low, it's been a pleasant surprise? Before the tracklist was revealed I was questioning buying it at all all.

Yeah I'm completely the same as you guys. I think they've got the tracklisting pretty spot on for this one. It flows so well together! I always moan about the tracklists lately, but then I seem to love the albums more everytime I listen to them. I still don't think/understand the full reasons as to why 'Thrift Shop', 'Suit & Tie'/'Mirrors' (well I think it'll still be a big enough hit to include on Now 85 so I'm letting it slide), 'Stay' and 'Skyfall' (but I think I know about that) were all left off, so I think the tracklist seemed pretty week. But hearing the songs together, back to back I actually really like it and they have got it pretty much spot on with what they've had to work with.
Now 69 and Now 84 were both released in March. That might have something to do with the tracklist seeming good (eg less songs missed out)! ^_^
How have we been discussing good Spring Nows without mentioning the GLORIOUS Now 39?

So it looks like we're getting another spin-off this year to celebrate Now being around for 30 years!

Amazon says it's going to be a 3CD disc set released on the 27th of May.

Really looking forward to it. Hope it's not a remake of NOW 25 Years with more recent tracks on disc 3 though.

Artwork and tracklist for Now That's What I Call 30 Years has been released. They've not separated the discs, but I assume they go between 23/24 and 40/41. The 2008-section is a very odd selection...

a great coupling of songs

Hugely predictable tracklist but fair enough as they're all huge hits. DJ Otzi isn't such a welcome addition though  My Heart Will Go On and Livin' La Vida Loca weren't on the numbered Now series' were they?

Let's Get Ready to Rhumble has to be on there because they never included it originally on Now 28/29! (and probably won't on Now 85 as they'll want the space for something more recent). I'd also guess they've deliberately included the proper B.o.B mix of Price Tag after mysteriously using the non-rap version on Now 78 (which they then did again for a Pitbull-less 'On The Floor' in Now 79).

Interesting to see what tracks they've chosen for the 2010s disc...I wonder how many of them will be included on 'Best of 2010s' albums in a decade's time. They did a similar collection called 'Now Decades' in 2003, and this is what they chose to represent the noughties up to that point:

S Club 7 - Don't Stop Movin'

Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Room 5 feat. Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv

Sugababes - Round Round

Destiny's Child - Independent Women (Part 1)

Liberty X - Just A Little

Atomic Kitten - Whole Again

Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One

Blue - If You Come Back

Ronan Keating - Life Is A Rollercoaster

Busted - You Said No

Note that only the S Club and Liberty X songs have survived to also make this one! Although I'd include Kylie's and Atomic Kitten's as ones that have also stood the test of time...

Atomic Kitten also made this one.

Good looking list. Worth a purchase I reckon.

I like it as well! I think that La La La will be the first song on CD1 and I Love It will be the second song on CD2. ^_^

I'd be surprised if anything other than Get Lucky opens the album! Nice enough cover.
