Uurgh at the Travie McCoy version of Higher being included! Why not the version with all three? :(

Seems to be missing a few which I guess will be on the next one (Someone Like You, Don't Hold Your Breath, Good Girl) but it's a pretty good tracklisting considering they wouldn't have wanted to overfill it with double appearances.

No Born This Way though :o What's with the random Flo Rida song though?

I know. i wanted the Kylie version, as it's clearly.. THE BEST VERSION

I like how they go for songs that WILL chart, but never songs that chart at the moment, most of the songs at the bottom of disc 2 could be replaced with ADELE, Nicole and Alexis

And major shock of Born this Way not being included.

It's great to see Avril Lavigne on it, even though it's currently peaking at the same place Xinta was with Not Myself Tonight (and that wasn't on 76/77). Also yay for Britney, Martin Solveig & Dragonette and Noah and the Whale.

Just downloaded the Flo Rida/Akon track, it's actually pretty great :o I haven't noticed ANY hype around it though and his last single missed the top 40, so seems like an odd/brave inclusion...NU FEM@IL!

or Agnes - I Need You Now

I think Flo Rida and Katy Perry are pointless appearances, bit bizarre that Born This Way isn't there and they are

other than that, a good tracklisting

It's good but I might pass. I have already downloaded the songs I like due to Christmas itunes vouchers.

LOL @ Flo Rida. That song is in the 200s on iTunes, and that's already with a video out on the music channels (#40 there last week). Great idea to include that, Now!!

Weird they would include Hold It Against Me and not Born This Way. Both have underperformed but surely Britney has underperformed much more? I guess Gaga's team is just being a bitch, I suppose. I was actually expecting them to ignore Britney totally considering they snubbed the similar-performing '3' but obviously not. No Diddy-Dirty Money either but I don't think Puff Daddy/P Diddy/Diddy has ever been on a Now! album anyway.

And look at all the featured credits on Disc 2! Devlin strikes me as an odd inclusion, too - it's quite old and is probably totally out of the Joe Public's memory now considering it dropped quickly after a lowish peak. Kick that and Flo Rida off and replace with Tiësto and Nero and this would be about the best they can do. But overall it's decent-ish considering what they had to play with.

Maybe they know something that we don't, like the Radio 1 playlist weeks in advance

Disappointing that Diddy-Dirty Money aren't on there, I know he used to be on the Hits albums so I thought that now the licenses have all swapped over that he might have a shot this time.

I agree about Devlin - the Nero song had a MUCH bigger cultural impact despite a similar peak and really should have made it on here. At least the Rumer inclusion was justifiable because of her huge album but Devlin's not huge in any respect. Shame that the biggest seller of 2010 will have never been on a Now album - how strange that Eminem only ever appeared with Without Me and Smack That, I wonder what the licensing issues are with him

Who Dat Girl is amazing, I thought I had told you about this song in the past actually, Rich. I guess it was someone else :P

Funnily enough, I downloaded his new album a couple of months ago so have always had this track on my iPod, I guess I must have just completely ignored it :drama:

Still gutted with the lack of Born This Way.

Me too :( I've never heard Who Dat Girl or Runway - BTW soooooooo deserves to be on it....

'Runaway'!! !! !! !! !!

AMAZING

Beautiful song! - Meh at the tracklisting in general though. Missing some big hits! Why the sudden ignorance of GaGa? Wasn't 'Telephone' ignored/rejected/whatever too, despite both GaGa and Beyoyo being included with every (?) other song of theirs? The Now albums are very strange nowadays!

LOL at the last 9 tracks on Disc 2 all being collabo's though! :o

To be honest, I am not sure how NOW is determined though Born This Way will be on the next album. And in all honestly Who Dat Girl >>>>> Born This Way (imo!)

They've always been pretty strange to be honest... it'd be nice to finally get a Now album with every big hit of the time period on it one day but it seems like that's never going to happen, especially when the likes of Eminem and Madonna never make it with their supposed "licensing issues" :( I think the closest was Now 50, but that still had a couple of notable misses. Although some of the ones in 2007/2008 were quite complete in their coverage as well, actually...

I doubt it - her next single will be already out by the time Now 79 arrives, and unless it's a total flop I can't see them not including it over Born This Way.

And there isn't really any specific determination. If we knew that we wouldn't be so baffled. They seem to just ignore big hits for no reason whatsoever sometimes

I may have some wrong, sorry :)

there's definitely a no.10 on there-Pink!

Not fussed about Gaga really. I think the biggest factor that could cost this sales is probably the lack of Someone Like You.

Did it not peak at #9? Maybe not - Yeah, if 'Someone like You' was on it, a lot more people would pick it up for sure....

I really don't like this Now Music, will not be buying this one.
