this young lady seems to be straggling a line between blog sweetheart and major mainstream breakout for 2014. she's been working with the likes of ryan hemsworth, clams casino and t-minus. she's put a couple of mixtapes out but '2 on' is her first single, produced by dj mustard:

you get rnb chix popping up every other day but tinashe really sticks out. musically aware, a good dancer, just IT. she can surely become a global popstar in the next few years if she plays it right?

'2 on' was one that took a beat to sit with me, but it stuck. 'vulnerable' however hit me from the offset when i first heard :o she's done quite a lot of note so far. amazing to think she was in a girlband once.

85 on UK iTunes. I am very surprised?

But anyway, this / she is very good (especially 'Vulnerable' which I need to thank Daniel. for if he's ever planning to be around again to see that <3) Definitely agree with Jake's post about her standing out from other R&B females, it's a genre that I'm normally not that into at all.

Ooh, '2 On' is a TUNE. I've loved all her mixtapes (BJSC REPPIN', everyone step off pls~) so I really hope she can be big this year. So pleasantly surprised to see the single big on UK iTunes!

Can't say I'm familiar with her or her songs (I just checked and I wasn't in the contest the month she was entered into BJSC!) but just took a listen to 'Can't Say No' (YES it was due to the Britney sample as to why I gave it a listen!) and '2 On'. Both excellent! The song she samples in CSN is actually my least favourite Britney song, ever. Proper dud moment for one of my all time favourite artists, but I really like 'Can't Say No'. Completely getting the Cassie comparisons.

 

I'm on board with her. (Now someone send me a link to her mixtapes, otherwise you'll ALL get a warning - I'm far too lazy to go searching myself :drink:)

2 On is seriously good, I dont know what it is but it is so captivating.
