Very very strong on first listen. Her voice on the title track especially is pure bliss.

Instant highlights for me at the moment are 'Aquarius', 'Cold Sweat', 'Wildfire' and 'All Hands on Deck' (surely the next single..by far the most commercial).

'All Hands on Deck' is SO GOOD, i agree next single material <33

Second half is also good. 'Feels Like Vegas' makes me so upset and i don't even know why. Such a beautiful song, but i think it's her vulnerable vocals more than anything that do it. Same for 'Bated Breath' which was lovely, including the extended instrumental closing.

 

'Wildfire' is MASSIVE. Brilliant close to an album that seems to be put together so well, structurally, but also sung and performed beautifully. Consider me a MAJOR FAN :wub:

Haha I was thinking the same about Future. Not sure I've ever liked anything he's done or been featured on but this time it somehow actually works? Not one of my favourites at the moment though.

This album has really made me want to listen to the three mixtapes again. Despite loving everything I'd heard from this album (and now the album as a whole) I've never given them much more than a couple of listens. Pretty sure that'll soon be changing!

I'm the same with the mixtapes. I've listened to them a few times each but can't really name any moments that properly grab me apart from 'Vulnerable' which i still maintain is one her absolute bests - perhaps only topped by '2 On'? and even then it's close. Will need to relisten through them all while the hype is hot~

Slayed my life on first listen. Even better than I thought it was going to be, best album since Beyonce for me.

 

The only part of the album I didn't like was when Future randomly had a stroke on 'How Many Times'.

god this is so good. 'Far Side of the Moon' blew me onto the next planet.

Could somebody send me a link please?! I've only just got into her after listening to "2 On" (and realising I heard it at Heaven this weekend)! It's such a great, slick R&B song. I'm not as sold on "Pretend" yet but I have high hopes for the album. If anyone has links to her mixtapes too, I'd very much appreciate those!

This album so far... omg. (Currently on 'Pretend')

 

Cannot get over it! Easily one of the most cohesive and flowing albums I have ever listened to. It all just sounds so beautiful as one album but has it's standout moments too. Agreed about her vocals on the title track, also. She just has IT for me.

 

EDIT: 'Bated Breath' OMG. Absolutely stunning.

I've massive come around to Pretend in the past couple of days :wub: downloading the album now but I'm struggling to stay awake so imma listen tomorrow I think, can't wait based on the amazing things I've heard already and the brilliance of 2 On and Pretend.

I just can't get over how good this actually is. Sure, I had high expectations, but it is just mind-blowing.

 

As much as I love 'Pretend', I am very surprised they chose it as the second single. 'All Hands On Deck', 'Wildfire' and 'Feels Like Vegas' are all screaming for release, and I think would do better commercially.
