February 24, 201411 yr Bré - yes, if I was to re-do the "A" thread now, Alesso's entry would include the Alesso vs OneRepublic credit. Aren't you updating all of the existing parts each week?
February 24, 201411 yr Big Hits 2012's final hit was Last Night (Beer Fear). Big Time Charlie's second hit was Mr Devil. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Ain't No Easy Way has its final letter missing. Keep up the good work!
March 3, 201411 yr Author Part 9 now added, Frank Black to the Bodysnatchers. Major artists included this week include Mary J Blige, Blondie, Blue & Blur.
March 10, 201411 yr Author Part 10 now added, includes the likes of Michael Bolton, Bon Jovi, Boney M, Boomtown Rats, Pat Boone, David Bowie & Boyzone
March 10, 201411 yr Marc Bolan's real surname was Feld, not Field. Bernard Butler (Booth and the Bad Angel) was a member of Suede, McAlmont and Butler and The Tears, not New Order. That was Bernard Sumner.
March 10, 201411 yr PAT BOONE 08 Jul 61 Moody RIver $ 18 10 wks ^I assume the capital I is a typo ;) Also I'm not sure why Alan Braxe is in between Brainchild and Brakes?
March 16, 201411 yr Author Sorry everyone, there's going to have to be a pause with this for a couple of weeks, I had a bit of an accident yesterday that has left me with a shattered right shoulder. I am typing this message one-finger left-handed so am not able to do enough to give justice to the data. Normal service will be resumed when possible
March 16, 201411 yr Sorry everyone, there's going to have to be a pause with this for a couple of weeks, I had a bit of an accident yesterday that has left me with a shattered right shoulder. I am typing this message one-finger left-handed so am not able to do enough to give justice to the data. Normal service will be resumed when possible Oh dear :( Look after yourself.
March 17, 201411 yr Oh Dear! Well take plenty of painkillers and get well real soon fchd. You have done a great job so far by the way.
April 10, 201411 yr Author Update - I've had a fairly lengthy op and am now in a recovery period. My left handed typing is improving all the time and my right arm may be out of the sling in the next 10 days or so, so I'm hoping to resume this by the end of the month at the latest.
April 10, 201411 yr Good to see you're on the road to recovery. Look forward to seeing the next instalment of this.
April 27, 201411 yr Author We are back! Still not got the sling off but I am allowed to use from the wrist down so I can do a lot more on the computer including use of the touchpad so I can copy & paste sufficiently to get this moving again. As a bonus today's edition is a double post, which encompasses parts 11 & 12 taking the alphabet from Brand New to the Bystanders, and thus to the end of the B's. Hopefully I have taken on board all the corrections helpfully posted in this thread, please let me know if I haven't done so and of course any errors on the "new" material.
April 28, 201411 yr A few minor points… You may think this is picky but Jake Bugg was born Jacob Kennedy rather than Jake. It may be worth mentioning that Tim Burgess was the uncredited vocalist on The Boxer by The Chemical Brothers. Alternatively, you amy decide that it is not worth mentioning. Kate Bush didn’t just become the youngest female to get to number one with a self-penned single. She was the first so, by definition, had to be the youngest for a while at least.
April 28, 201411 yr Author Noted, thank you. I will take at least 1 & 3 into account, thinking of the pros and cons of noting too many uncredited vocalists before commiting to doing no. 2
April 28, 201411 yr Author At then we get down to where uncredited performances are disputed, such as Jack White's alleged performance on "Danger! (High Voltage)" I'll probably do my usual and fudge it, by mentioning things like Dido's (sampled) uncredited role on "Stan" but leave a whole lot out
