If the live version of XO was put on iTunes it could have had a chance at top 10 officially this week, but now I'm not sure.

I can't believe even 1+1, I Was Here, Diva and Why Don't You Love Me are top 1500, yet the masterpieces Video Phone and Ego aren't. :(

'Why Don't You Love Me' is one of her best! Least of all because it's not generic R&B and actually shows some character and flair.

THIS!!! Y only XO live was not in ITUNES? she would have been top 30 for SURE! that was perfect and a little different... last year they put Mirrors Live in the second week... so... maybe?

Is it just me who's noticed that all of the UK based performers have had their performances go up on iTunes whereas the international ones (Bruno, Katy, Beyoncé) haven't? That may have something to do with it but I don't understand why they haven't been put up.

Edit: I do realise that Lorde isn't UK based but she was performing with Disclosure so I still have a point

It's probably just label difficulties, easier to get UK-based labels to agree to it most likely, it was the same last year and the year before I believe (although some of the international artists did eventually get released, just not immediately).

It's kind of wrong that there were only 3 fully British performers out of 8 on an award show that's specifically made to celebrate British music :drama:

I agree with this although I do understand why they add international performers to the show, for example Beyoncé and Katy Perry are really big names which will increase the show's ratings.
Shame "Lay Me Down" is dropping now. Would've been great to see that go Top 40 officially.

It's still at about 25 combined. There is hope!:P

How do you define 'fully British'?

How do you define 'fully British'?

I think he's referring to there being only three performances with solely British acts (ie: Disclosure/Aluna doesn't count because they collaborated with Lorde). So that leaves only Arctic Monkeys, Ellie Goulding and Bastille/Rudimental.

I like Why Don't You Love Me as well. Just that it's not hugely well-known song and from years ago, so I'm surprised it's in the top 1500. The whole Sasha Fierce album is really good apart from Radio which is the most generic song of her career, and some of the ballads like Broken Hearted Girl and If I Were a Boy are quite boring as well, but there's so many amazing songs on the album.

Nice to see this has suddenly climbed the chart so much!

"Radio" was hardly generic back then (2008), it was still fresh sounding and its one of the best on the album. I also prefer IIWAB to SL which I thought was quite overrated. Satellites is my fav song on the album anyway

I thought it was very generic. Just a desperate attempt to emulate the stuff Timbaland, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, etc. were currently doing, and extremely out of character from Beyonce. You grow to expect that music from someone like Rihanna, because she was releasing songs like SOS really early on in her career, but a song like that from Beyonce sounds very weird.
