February 23, 201411 yr Normally, they don't invite artists to perform random songs that don't have anything to do with the nominated films. Maybe she was invited to perform at the pre-party, which makes a lot more sense.

February 23, 201411 yr They do always seem to have some theme throughout the show, sometimes musically. Last year, I believe three of four Bond theme songs were peformed as well as a few hits from musical movies (Chicago and Les Mis). Pharell and U2 are performing their own nominated songs, so I don't know how Pink would fit in :lol: I couldn't find anything on the official Oscar website either about her performing. I'm confused.

March 3, 201411 yr Author That was flat. :( The song really did not suit her voice at all, imo. Sorry. the first negative comment i've seen of this performance :o i know i'm only really reading comments from fans on twitter & messageboards, so it maybe a little biassed :lol: I think the only bad thing about the performance was the dress, it didnt suit it, it made her look.....pregnant... :o brother or sister for willow on the way? :unsure: i feel like we saw a different side & style to Pink with this performance, it was the most grown up performance i have ever seen her do, and i dont really like the song, if it had been anyone else i probably wouldn't have even played the video, but she sang the crap outta that song :D
March 3, 201411 yr Sorryyyy :P I felt like it was the first performance where she actually struggled with the song. It was probably down to nerves (see Idina Menzel's performance too) but the song didn't suit P!nk, at all. I agree on the whole looking pregnant thing too! ;o

I agree on the whole looking pregnant thing too! ;o you dont need to apologise! i'm aware that everyone has their opinion, and not everyone will agree that Pink is the best artist on the planet :lol: which is why i rarely step into arguements etc on twitter when someone says negative stuff about her. the world would be boring if everyone liked the same stuff. Even i dont like every single thing Pink does :o (however i did have a bit of a cry on twitter the other day when i read someone saying that she IS sh*t instead of they THINK she is sh*t :heehee: its opinion - not fact!) I agree there were parts in the performance where she looked uncomfortable (not sure if thats the right word to describe), but i think she stepped out of her comfort zone, i'm glad she didnt do the rope/silks thing this time, we all saw that a month ago, if she had done that it wouldnt have been as special or as talked about.
