Your avatar is fabulous though.

Capital have played the studio version 4 times and the Cahill remix one or two times.(though that doesn't show up on compare my radio). They played 'Not Giving Up' twice in the middle of the night last night and again just now. But seem completely unwilling to play it at all in the day at the moment.

I hope it comes down to 'when radio 1 playlist them' and not an 'if radio 1 playlist them.'

If Problem With Love was the single it would sell 500k first week. Album would then fly in at #01 and the itunes single top 10 would look like

1. The Saturdays - Problem With Love

2. The Saturdays - Disco Love

3. The Saturdays - What About Us ft. Sean Paul

4. The Saturdays - 30 Days

5. The Saturdays - What About Us

6. The Saturdays - Gentleman

7. Tich

8. The Vamps

9. The Saturdays - What About Us (Acoustic)

10. Iggy Azalea

obvs

Is this going to miss the top 40? :o

Don't let me Dance Alone was left off for obvious reasons ;)

Who knows about top 40, will wait and see

It will if Radio 1 playlist it and Capital play it a couple of times when people are actually awake and listening to the radio...

Christ, a song by The Saturdays is never going to miss the top 40.

Pixie Lott just went to #9 with a song that was #118 on radio and #43 on TV and she has a smaller fanbase than the girls, ffs. Oh, and her song was pretty poor whereas The Sats is one of the best of their career.

'Nasty' went top #20 on TV though - I'm not going to have comparisons as 'Nasty' was promoted well and Pixie did an incredible amount of radio promotion. It also helped this was her come back single.

Okay, this is incorrect - i always thought The Saturdays' had a much bigger fanbase than Pixie Lott but Pixie's fanbase can get her trending without ease while The Saturdays' struggle to get any possible trend. Pixie has a much larger fanbase than The Saturdays' which is again showing by Twitter / facebook etc.

This is going to be a bit like Work, fans wanted it released, the single version is slightly different to the album version, with a slowed bit on Frankie's part. Hello #22

Also, Nasty was already showing up in the iTunes top 1,500 by now. Not Giving Up is not even in the iTunes pop chart - even Just Can't Get Enough is ahead of it.

It's easy to get something trending on Twitter. It just depends what time of day it is, what the trend is, how many people are Retweeting stuff etc. It means absolutely nothing. Neon Jungle had things trending worldwide a few weeks ago. Are they bigger than The Saturdays?

And Twitter/Facebook is incomparible because The Saturdays have group accounts and five members to follow/like.

It won't. It'll go top 20 alone due to fanbase. Top 10, that's a different story...

No other capital Dj's seem to be playing it.

I've been tweeting Max for around 10 minutes now to play 'Not Giving Up' :(

According to compare my radio, it has now recieved 3 plays over the past 24 hours which is looking better than before :D

The song being poor is just an opinion. At the end of the day, she had a big enough fan base to push it into the top 10. And she actually charted #20 on TV :)

But yes, I don't see why they would EVER miss the top 40 :P The girls rely on airplay more, but as long as it connects with people, I don't see why it'll be missing the top 40. It'll do better than Example's ruddy song though

Mollie called in and requested Not Giving Up.

Mochelle realness.

I wonder what Marvin's thinking.

It won't. It'll go top 20 alone due to fanbase. Top 10, that's a different story...

Sorry, I did mean to say 'it won't if...'

It is indeed worrying that only Marvin is playing the song. That wouldn't be a bad thing if he did the 7 - 10am slot, the 4.30 - 7pm slot or even one of the mid-day slots, but 7 - 10pm really isn't big listening hours for the radio. Capital seem reluctant to want to play it, which I don't understand because while it's not the most original song, they play a lot worse, it's an easily catchy, inoffensive, fun and radio friendly song that really fits in with their audience. Maybe they don't want to create competition for their Vamps? I don't know what their playlisting patterns are but maybe they'll play it more closer to the release?
