Now let's mix it up a little more and announce Qs and DNQs at the same time!

The People's Republic of Ginsay Lohands (apparently set to change their country name for next month) crash out again with another track that did well in PJSC. The contests are different imaduck! Your strategy doesn't seem to be working too well recently.

It isn't too 'Strange' to see FNT Nickodonia in the final this time as they seem to have managed to capture the voters' hearts on their latest fleeting return. This is Australian electropop group Parralox's first entry into BJSC, but it's far from a new song (in fact I'm sure I remember someone, possibly Nick himself, considering sending this years ago). FNT Nickodonia have been waiting even longer than Allecian for a top 20 hit, not helped by their tendency to disappear for around 8 contests after every one they do enter.

AW disappointed about Power Of Bass, although it wasn't as good as I feel it COULD'VE been, there were particular really good parts of the song but they didn't build enough.

Bellamia & Bignia :o thought they were shoe-ins !

musical interlude time is almost here :cheer:

We've made it a third of the way through and the identities of 10 qualifiers and 9 non-qualifiers have been revealed. In this short break before the results continue, perhaps consider having a listen of our autoqualifier from Daehun if you haven't already.

We'll be back in a few minutes with the next two qualifiers.

Power Of Bass was very generic. Far too generic.

Yay for Parralox, very interesting song and I'm normally a supporter of Nickodonia when they do enter anywayz.

Genuinely GUTTED for Zechonia :snif:

Not over the moon about Varakë out either...

C-pop Lana Del Ray much? Interesting even if the jokes kinda write themselves.

Unovia's one contest break from LX seems to have revitalised them as they manage back-to-back qualifiers for the first time in a while with L.A.-based singer-songwriter Chelsea Wolfe whose music is apparently 'drone-metal-art-folk' (okay then). Semi 1's voters had a lot of 'Love' for this track but I'm not sure 'Feral' is an adjective that'd come to mind if I wasn't purposefully searching for terrible puns. Wolfe is another first-time entrant.

Vülkyria (the country formerly known as Letland for those who 'Can't Keep Up' with all the name changes recently) make the final for a second non-consecutive occasion under their current name and have high hopes to do a little better than last place this time. London producer Tourist is surprisingly the second result on G**gle for his name. It's the first BJSC outing for both him and featured Will Heard, but he is of course already well-known for his big hit featuring on 'Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine)' by Klangkarussell so Vülkyria don't entirely avoid the cheap hoe tag.

Yayyy :D hopefully my run of Qs will continue like my horrible run of DNQs usually easily manages to

FINALLY BACK IN THE FINAL!!!!!

It's a phenomenal track to me.

 4 all the voters!!

Espen's record lasts 'All Night' (and for a few more weeks at least) after all as they qualify for the lucky 13th time in a row. Mr. Something's website claims he's from Manchester, but it also claims that he both 'doesn't exist' and died from an overdose in the 80s so I'm not sure how reliable a source that is. I can say with certainty he's another first-time BJSC entrant. You're all surprising me with your originality so far bar a few exceptions.

Well he kind of didn't help himself by not voting, but poor old Klumzee would also have failed to qualify even without the deduction anyway. Vivaldi is just a bit TOO niche despite being one of the most famous pieces of music ever composed.
