The seventh QUALIFIER from semifinal 1 is...

Greenfroze sat out last month for the first time since they joined the contest but are welcomed back with a qualification and the hopes that they can throw their fears of constant DNQs on 'The Fire' again. Norwegian songstress Charlotte Qvale is the first serious offender recycling-wise to be announced, as she came 6th with 'The Beginning Of The End' for Altyr Muunilinst back in XLVI. Featured act Thomas Eriksen is however a contest debutant.

It's up to you to decide if this track 'Belongs' in the final or not, but regardless Yehesi have made it in for the second month in a row. They've gone for a bigger name than last month, sending Dutch DJ Fedde Le Grand who is best known for 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit', a UK #1 hit. Another UK hit of his, 'Let Me Think About It' with Ida Corr, was sent to BJSC way back in the early days (Faztickle VI) and came 14th. Will this track better that? Di-Rect are first time entrants.

:cheer: for Yehesi :cheer:
Espen and Greenfroze whoop - going very well! Not had any of my votes not qualifying thus far. :D

Such surprise :o

No but seriously thanks to everyone who did vote for it in the end. You guys are combating the awful classical discrimination in BJSC!

The eighth QUALIFIER from semifinal 1 is...

I'm impressed with you BuzzJack! I would never have bet anything close to '25 Bucks' on Danny Brown ever coming near this contest let alone the final. The alternative hip hop artist from troubled Detroit was probably helped a lot in this result by the featured act Purity Ring who are two time BJSC top 5 finishers ('Obedear', 3rd, Mdiče XLIV and 'Breathe This Air' (by Jon Hopkins), 4th, Aeroche LVIII). It's a third straight qualification for Utopia who are on one of their better runs of success.

Surprise? Despite being set several 'Paces' back (I can't pun-ify that song title) by #00274E's failure to vote, this track has still made it to the final. I suppose that gives away that the song did rather well in the semifinal. Maybe one to watch in the final where hopefully its sender will actually submit votes. Paces is an Australian electronic music producer who can be added to the list of solo artists that sound like bands. It's his and featured singer Erin Marshall's first entry to BJSC and #00274E's second qualification in a row, with the nation only failing to qualify once so far out of 14 sporadically entered songs.

'Julian' is a track I love then hate then love again and hate afterwards and so on.

So I'm pleased with the outcome.

BuzzJack aren't too keen on songs that consist mostly of random screams and chants - I'd never have guessed! (sorry Trifoski)

Ashton 'Line' up (I know it's not pronounced like that but sshhh) their third consecutive qualifier with this track from the annoyingly un-G**gleable singer who, if I've got the right person, came 2nd in season 5 of the Danish version of The X Factor. That's right, even obscure international talent show acts have a chance in this here contest! It's a pretty good song though. No singer named 'Line' has been entered before.

Get me out of my misery Bra. Announce me as a Q and then do an AWKS
Ashtons track is amazing this month
3rd/4th best Trifoski entry since the trap track, Kite String Tangle and/or Agoraphobia. <3

Despite being decried by its own sender as a certain DNQ, we find Chicagoan Gilligan Moss dancing to the final with great 'Choreograph'y (I forgive people for wanting to kill me) for Fljótavík. This would probably have been a fifth qualifier in a row for them if they had voted in the semifinal of the last contest, but alas they did not and this track is therefore starting a new qualification streak for the country. Moss, whoever he or she may be, is another introduction to the contest.

Also 'Dancing' to the final (that pun was much more natural that time) are Ramrynia with this track from Indiana. We can always rely on Ramrynia to be annoyingly unoriginal and this month is no different as Indiana is, shock horror, a recycled act - she finished 26th for Unovia back in LII with the much better 'Bound'. Ramrynia's continuing cheapness sees them through to a fifth straight final. Indiana, like Paris XY and of Verona, is lying about her whereabouts with her stage name. She's actually from Nottingham.
