Posted February 27, 201411 yr Thanks to this stupid Game of War spam BJ is now unusable on an iPad, the ad hijacks the browser (Safari) and redirects me to the app store to download this game every time I open BJ or click on a forum on here, is there any way of blocking Game of War at your end Phil? I know BJ gets the ads from Google but there seems to be some rogue code in this one, several times today I have been redirected to the app store when I use this site
February 27, 201411 yr Author http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/06/shady-app...re-google-play/ Found out a bit more about it, if you could somehow block this ad would be great, most people have iPads in this country so I suspect it has happened a lot
February 27, 201411 yr I've also had this problem before on Safari on the iPhone. It's happened a few times.
February 28, 201411 yr Author Not had anything today :) happened a lot yesterday but so far so good today :)

February 28, 201411 yr Author Most people have iPads? I somehow doubt that. Maybe not an ipad as such but certainly a tablet/smartphone/kindle, one or more of them The issues highlighted in that article are affecting iOS and Android
March 1, 201411 yr Literally just had this happen to me in the AC thread in Eurovision. Tried to flog me William hill's app
March 21, 201411 yr Ok let me investigate again, maybe I can block this ad specifically. How often does this happen and is it always the GOW ad?
March 23, 201411 yr Happened just now in MKS for some 'monster legends' crap how annoying, it is varied across a few ads and so there is no way to block it. Many people are complaining against the publishers and Google so im hoping they do something about it quickly... I have had it twice and browse a fair bit so im hoping it is very infrequent for the average user. Will keep following the discussion online and see if there is a way I can block these without blocking all our ad categories (and therefore not being able to serve any ads at all!)
March 23, 201411 yr It's only happening infrequently but it is a shade irritating. Hopefully Google get a grip soon as I too have seen a lot of people complaining about it across the internet.
April 15, 201411 yr :( let me see if any solutions have come up... I have also had it once or twice and i would expect (hope) Google should be on top of this
