At the end of 2012, I compiled my year-end chart based on my top 50 songs of the year from my own opinion. Since then, however, I've grown to disagree quite a bit with that list, and I've re-organised it, as well as expanding it to a top 100.

Over the course of this thread, I will be counting down all 100 songs (won't drag it out) and revisiting many of my favourite tracks from that year.

I can confirm that the #1 from last time is NOT #1 this time. That's all I'll say for now. ;)

100 NE n/a Tulisa - Sight of You - 25-22-20-19-27-X (5 weeks)

Let's kick things off then. Here's how to read the results:

POSITION ORIGINAL POSTION DIFFERENCE IN POSITION ARTIST - TITLE - CHART RUN

Colours represent the change in position. A new entry will be in blue, a non-mover in black, a climber in green and a faller in red.

A small summary for each song:

91 My opinion on Wings hasn't changed since it came out really, it's still a great debut single but not their best (that goes to How Ya Doin'?, which went top 70ish in my 2013 year-end).

92 Glassheart was a smash-hit in waiting. Would've been a lot higher for me had it got more exposure as a single. :(

93 MASSIVE REGRET here. I didn't chart it at all when it first came out, that chart run comes from last year when I got randomly addicted. Such a brilliant song, and not even her best.

94 Still a big fan of My Heart Is Refusing Me, but this tumble just shows how much I've really listened to it. I don't feel the urge to hear it much. Euphoria is muuuch higher though, of course.

95 Guilty pleasure #1. Shamefully love this song.

96 A lovely song here, I believe this remains his only original studio song, which is a shame as I can't say I'm massive on watching YouTube covers...

97 One of the best BJSC entries of 2012! Massive drop here but again, it's more because I don't go back to it a great deal.

98 Probably shouldn't have been a #1 at all, that's one of the weakest chart runs I've had for a #1 single although it managed to climb one week so that's something I guess.

99 Guilty pleasure #2. Nothing that special to this really, very generic, but I do very much enjoy it.

100 Love a bit of Tulisa. Bit of a silly release considering she had SO many better songs on the album though. She still has one more song to come.

'Undercover Baby' *.*

The only good thing about anything from 'Glassheart' is that Emeli was involved somehow x

'My Heart Is Refusing Me' is ART so disappointed to see it take such a fall. :(

Good to see 'Wings' and 'Do You Think Of Me?' appear.

81 NE n/a Stooshe - Love Me (feat. Travie McCoy) - 6-X (1 week)

82 41 -41 One Direction - They Don't Know About Us - 13-13-21-25-X (4 weeks)

83 NE n/a Lana Del Rey - National Anthem - 13-15-X-23-29-X (4 non-consecutive weeks)

84 NE n/a Paloma Faith - 30 Minute Love Affair - 15-23-35-X-12-27 (5 non-consecutive weeks)

85 NE n/a Calvin Harris - I Need Your Love (feat. Ellie Goulding) - 28-10-8-14-23-X-39-X (6 non-consecutive weeks)

86 NE n/a Little Mix - DNA - 20-13-22-28-X (4 weeks)

87 NE n/a Conor Maynard - Can't Say No - 17-14-13-10-9-13-17-X (7 weeks)

88 NE n/a Molly Sandén - Unchained - 14-X-4-8-11-18-26-X (6 non-consecutive weeks)

89 NE n/a Booty Luv - This Night - 10-17-X (2 weeks)

90 NE n/a Tinchy Stryder - Bright Lights (feat. Pixie Lott) - 9-11-14-X (3 weeks)

81 OOPS at that chart run. It entered at #6 and then fell out of my top 20 chart the following week. I had a bit of a weird relationship with this song at first, wasn't sure if I liked it or not for a while. Now I LOVE it though, deserved a better chart run.

82 The only song from the original top 50 to appear in this section is a big faller from a 1D album track. Was probably too high last time, can't believe I included this over Little Things :o One of the best tracks on Take Me Home though.

83 Lana's best song, definitely. Was my favourite from when I first heard the album.

84 One of Paloma's best without a doubt! 30 Minute Love Affair re-peaked when I went to see Paloma live.

85 This song also made my Y/E 2013, but despite that, my love for it came mostly in 2012 before its single release. Got very bored of it part way through 2013 but I love it again now.

86 Little Mix's highest entry this year. DNA should've been top 10 in my chart but missed out and peaked at unlucky #13.

87 The first of three Conor Maynard songs to appear. Absolutely love this song, his weakest single overall though.

88 The third single from Molly Sandén's first English album. Not a song I listen to much now but it's still fantastic. Spread a Little Light is still to come

89 Fab song but everything about this Booty Luv release spells out cheap  They always bring out good singles though.

90 Speaking of cheap, here's Pixie Lott. Not gonna deny that I love this though, despite the weird effect on Tinchy's voice.

'Unchained' is gorgeous, though the whole album is perfect.

'They Don't Know About Us'  I think it'd still be my number 1 had it been a single.

71 NE n/a Alexandra Burke - Elephant - N/A

72 NE n/a Cody Simpson - Got Me Good - 4-9-15-9-12-21-29-X-38-38-X (9 weeks)

73 NE n/a Ronya - Hyperventilating - 24-30-X (2 weeks)

74 NE n/a Nina Nesbitt - Boy - 7-7-11-15-21-15-12-16-23-X (9 weeks)

75 NE n/a Paloma Faith - Never Tear Us Apart - 15-19-26-X (3 weeks)

76 NE n/a Carly Rae Jepsen - Guitar String / Wedding Ring - 15-20-27-X (3 weeks)

77 NE n/a Emeli Sandé - Next To Me - 10-7-8-X (3 weeks)

78 NE n/a Far East Movement - Live My Life (feat. Justin Bieber) - 13-11-13-15-13-18-X (6 weeks)

79 NE n/a Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy - 28-27-28-10-8-10-13-19-28-X-19-28-X (11 non-consecutive weeks)

80 NE n/a Mariah Carey - Triumphant (Vintage Throwback Mix) - 24-21-9-12-23-X (5 weeks)

71 Kicking off a section of new entries is a song that never actually charted for me. MASSIVE regret right there - Elephant is such a jam and while it took a fair bit of growing, I unashamedly love both that and its parent album, Heartbreak On Hold.

72 One of four Cody songs to appear in the top 100, Got Me Good was the first single from Cody's debut album Paradise. Kinda did badly for a lead single of his but at the time it was just a random track from the Preview To Paradise EP. It's hard to tell what's intended to be a single with him and what isn't

73 My favourite BJSC winner since I joined two years ago, coming from PAVEL of all people. The chart run for this doesn't reflect my love for it at all. I introduced this song to my sister and now she's obsessed with the album

74 Nina's best song, and one of my seven DNQs out of eight entries in 2012 BJSC. Oops.

75 A fabulous cover from Paloma, the first song of hers I properly liked (wasn't that acquainted with her before).

76 The best non-single on Carly's album Kiss, an album that's definitely in my top 5 of the year!

77 SHE'S EVERYWHERE. Despite the mass overplay of Emeli in general, this is one of her best songs.

78 Not even guilty of loving this song. If only it got one place higher.

79 Amelia Lily's debut single, which got a re-entry from the PartyOver alias effect. :kink:

80 Specifically the remix. The original of the song isn't that good at all, but this remix is FANTASTIC.

WE HAVE AN ALYSSA HATER IN HERE?? :P

Na, I just don't really like those songs  The rest are fab

i actually think this a nice lil idea (might steal borrow it off you eventually x). i imagine my 2012 list would look considerably different as well if i were to re-do it now

as for this list so far, National Anthem & Wings = the best ones without a doubt x

61 NE n/a Girls Aloud - Every Now and Then - 7-9-13-21-X (4 weeks)

62 38 -24 Cody Simpson - Be the One - 14-19-25-X (3 weeks)

66 NE n/a Nicki Minaj - Starships - 18-13-19-32-38-13-7-12-17-22-33-X (11 weeks)

67 NE n/a Girls Aloud - On the Metro - 10-12-18-27-X (4 weeks)

68 NE n/a Emeli Sandé - Read All About It (Pt. III) - 4-5-9-20-X (4 weeks)

69 44 -25 Conor Maynard - Vegas Girl - 16-16-11-6-4-4-7-9-12-16-21-X (11 weeks)

70 NE n/a Justin Bieber - All Around The World (feat. Ludacris) - 13-13-5-7-11-17-24-X-31-35-37-37-X (11 non-consecutive weeks)

61 Girls Aloud. Flawless people (feat. Kimberley Walsh). That is all.

62 A track from Cody's debut album, definitely among his best, so addictive.

63 The title track from Taylor's fourth album, which initially charted off the back of it being a promo single for the album. Re-entered my chart a month ago after seeing her live, definitely one of the best on the album.

64 Tulisa's highest entry :snif: Should definitely have gone top 10 in my chart, generic as hell but that doesn't necessarily mean a bad song.

65 Another song that should've gone top 10, and the four weeks it spent in the chart were the same 4 weeks that Young spent there, funnily enough. Rita still has another song to come in the form of How We Do (Party).

66 A song I didn't actually like until the very end of the year, and its peak of #7 was achieved in 2013. Would've done a lot better (and tbf it did quite well anyway) had I liked it throughout the year.

67 See #61.

68 SHE'S BACK. RAAI Pt. 3 tired on me quite a bit during last year due to its overexposure but I loved it during 2012, and it's regrowing on me a fair bit now also.

69 Conor Maynard and his second highest entry here. It's a bit of a weird song, and the video is weirder, but I can't help liking it.

70 THE FIRST BIEBER ENTRY OF MANY (although we did have Live Your Life already). 2012 was a big year for him in my chart, and he still has four songs to come...

'Red' is the best song off the album, I love the imagery 'Losing him is dark grey all alone' :D

Still more Emeli to come? *.*

That section is fab: Conor, Justin, Nicki, Cody... All amazing songs.

Tulisa <3 Loreen too! She dominated a lot of the year for me. 'All Around The World' is fab, i've grown to really like practically every single from him now so consider me a fan :o

And i think if i was to do a similar re-run of the year, 'Do You Think Of Me?' would come out on top by some distance, so nice to see it feature in here. Such a special song.

Okay that Triumphant remix is lovely but I think I like the original just as much.

Dance All Night and Bright Lights are perfect :D + You Bring Me Joy and Red
