Calvin Harris confirmed new single

“Summer”

Scottish deejay and record producer Calvin Harris

is still inmersed working on the follow-up album

after his global successful third LP ‘18 Months‘,

released in late-2012 via Columbia Records. The

producer of ‘We Found Love’ is ready to bring us

a new single. He confirmed new music to be

released on digital retailers on March 14, 2014.

This new song is officially called ‘Summer‘ and it

serves as the follow-up to his latest single and UK

number 1 hit single ‘Under Control‘ with the

collaboration of Alesso and the vocals of HURTS.

Besides, the producer is also responsible for the

new single from his current girlfriend, singer Rita

Ora, entitled ‘I Will Never Let You Down‘.

Harris confirmed that his new single isn’t a

collaboration with another artist and this time

he’s the lead singer in the production. Get ready

to slay the summer!

Stay tunned!

Glad he hasn't completely given up singing. Hoping this can be as good as 'Feel So Close'.
Good to see him back on the vocals! Shame he didn't provide the vocals for "Under Control" too.

Did anybody really notice? Until someone said Theo from Hurts provided the vocals I thought it was Calvin.

Apparently Calvin was meant to sing 'Under Control' until he decided that his voice wasn't good for the song so he got Theo Hurts to do it instead.

Looking forward to 'Summer' :D

You can't be serious? Theo's vocals are pretty divine compared to his...

I really don't like that title at all. It seems really quite cynical.
Under Control was also going to go to Example as well wasn't it? Hurts third time lucky then :(
Premieres 8am tomorrow, really looking forward to this, "Feel So Close" ended up being my favourite single from the last era.

Better than I thought it would be judging from the first snippet.

It's still pretty generic/lifeless but it's good to have Calvin back on the vocals.

Just heard it on radio. I like the vocal parts a lot. The breakdown seems a bit stale.
I would give it 8/10 on first listen, but considering how much of a fan I am of Calvin I'll have it on repeat today.
Production-wise it sounds very much like something from Ready For The Weekend and having Calvin on vocals only emphasises that. The breakdown sounds less so, but that doesn't make it any better. Fairly disappointing after his streak of very good singles (excluding "Thinking About You").
