I'd have said previous efforts by The Saturdays and Sugababes/Girls Aloud sounded a lot lazier than this.

Both of these are a lot better tho. Word Up! is decent, but personally I wouldn't buy it

Really hope 'Sweater Weather' can make the top 40 this week, obsessed with it at the moment

Same here great wee track was my number 1 last month there. Probably have to reach near the top 20 to get it this week. Hopefully it maintains itself into next week so itll def make the top 40 - its still a listed at radio 1 - the songs normally see a rise on thursday night into friday!

I'm not very hopeful for Justin Timberlake's new single since TKO missed the top 40 entirely. :(

There's a new Timbaland/Justin Timberlake collab that will probably be released in the summer, so we have that to look forward to! :D

Is that a single or album Eric?

A single. It features Pharrell as well I think, and the song sounds very summery.

Sucks for Little Mix, but seems they've got a bit of promo lined up for tomorrow with This Morning and of course Sports Relief, and then the National Lottery on Saturday, so I expect them to be top 10 again by the end of the week.

Disc 2 of Now 80 kicked off with Adele's Set Fire To The Rain. :P I wish they would kick both discs off with a big Number 1 hit personally.

Aww, I was gonna mention that.

On Now 33, Disc 1 starts with a non-Top-10 hit ('Too Much Love Will Kill You' by Queen).

 10. The Chainsmokers- #SELFIE

Oh dear.

 12. Little Mix- Word Up!

Hopefully Sport Relief will help this climb back into the Top10.

Last time Chainsmokers went top 10 they dropped out again shortly after, so hopefully the same will happen this time.

Indeed. There's also Eva Cassidy's 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' kicking off disc 2 of Now 48, but only reaching as high as #42. But the album 'Songbird' was massive at the time.

HA.

Up to #9 now. :yahoo: :w00t:

I wonder if "Changes" has a good chance of hitting #1 next week.

I can't see anything other than Duke Dumont and that boyband being the top 2, maybe it'll be this year's Klangkarussell with a #3 peak?

As long as that 5 Seconds thing doesn't get anywhere near, then I'll be happy, genuinely the worst song I've heard this year. Both aurally and lyrically.

The song pre-orders got #12 combined and the EP went #1 upon original release. I don't think it has much of a chance of missing #1 :drama:

I don't think it's quite as CERTAIN as say Clean Bandit beating The Vamps, but I'd say there's a very strong chance of FAUL beating 5SOS. The UK chart has tended to get it right with genuine hits beating frontloaded boyband singles the last few years.

That was just its initial loon support though (I don't know how they even had loon support that early considering they had literally no songs at the time but there you go). It won't be enough for #1 unless it appeals enough beyond that (or sales are very low for #1 next week). Its pre-order hasn't exactly maintained brilliant success, certainly hasn't been selling at a level that'd suggest a #1 had it not had the original smashage.

'Word Up' back up to #10, played a few times throughout the Davina McCall documentary for Sports Relief tonight.
