Jessica Mauboy is releasing 'Never Be The Same' as the 4th single from her latest album 'Beautiful' and it has already charted top 20 in Australia!

It's another great song from Jessica, I really need to listen to the album! Also it has been confirmed today that she will be performing a brand new song in the second semi final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in May which will be a great platform for her to hopefully get success in Europe!

So pleased the Aussie act is Our Jess! Really though she should do a medley containing Burn, Up/Down, Saturday Night, Inescapable, Pop A Bottle and then a new song. All in the space of 7 minuets haha.

I personally would've chosen Kiss Me Hello as the obligitary Running Back/What Happened To Us style ballad single, but this is fab, really growing on me with the release <3 It's doing its job too, it's already completely obliterated Beautiful success wise and seems to be doing better than TTEOTE too, it's already outpeaked it.

So pumped for her performing at Eurovision too, she's definitely one of my top 10 singers ever and really needs to be big outside of Australia - Kick Up Your Heels could be MASSIVE.

Kick Up Your Heels needs to be a worldwide smash. I'm really hoping that Beautiful or I Believe can be singles too.

I actually think this is by far the strongest of Jessica's 3 albums. Not a bad song on it or anything less than a 8/10. It's just so good.

'Beautiful' has already been a single hasn't it? Apparently it charted at #46 according to Wikipedia and it has a music video.

Yes it was the third single. Ignore me, I'm just having one of those days today.

I Believe needs to a single though. It's one of my favourite tracks by Jess.

A medley would be good but I would have it just as Burn, Inescapable, Pop A Bottle, Beautiful and the new track. If they're going to launch her properly over here it will be with the third album + a couple of new tracks and a couple of bolted on tracks like Burn.

I agree about 'I Believe' which I've just listened to for the first time, it has a fantastic chorus in particular! The chorus reminds me a little bit of 'Pop A Bottle (Fill Me Up)' and we know how amazingly well that did!

I think it's just so feel good and uplifting.

If I was launching Jess in Europe this is what I'd be doing (just with Beautiful as it stands):

Single 1 \\ New Eurovision track

Single 2 \\ I Believe (July)

Single 3 \\ Kick Up Your Heels (Late Sept)

ALBUM RELEASE (First Mon in Oct)

Single 4 \\ Pop A Bottle

Single 5 \\ Never Be The Same.

Beautiful was always a baffling single choice imo, it's a fab song but with tracks like Kick Up Your Heels, I Believe and Kiss Me Hello waiting it was an odd choice imo and I'm not too shocked it didn't do much...

Agree about this being her best album though, in fact I'd say it's my top album of 2013 along with Demi. My top 5 would be;

01 Kick Up Your Heels

02 Pop A Bottle (Fill Me Up)

03 Kiss Me Hello

04 To The End Of The Earth

05 I Believe

Barriers, Go and Beautiful are 10s as well, cannot stress my love for the album enough <3

I always like her ballads. "Let Me Be" was one one of my favourite songs in 2009/2010. I used to listen it when i went to my previous work. I listened her new one today and i really like it. She has nice voice. Is it truth that she will perform in Eurovision Song Contest..?Why...?
Yes it has been confirmed! She will be the semi-final 2 interval act in recognition of Australia's love of Eurovision. They even get to send commentators!

I think the lyrics in I Believe are too schlager for it to be a single. Production is amazing though! I think a compilation of Beautiful + older successful tracks would be the way to go. I get the feeling the ESC song won't be single-worthy though so I'd say:

1. Pop a Bottle

2. Running Back (Yes, it's old, but still sounds fresh imo)

3. To the End of the Earth

4. What Happened To Us

5. Beautiful

Some of those are questionable, but I don't find Jess's material to be strong enough for the UK GP for example, as much as I love it. It's very bland, cheap, Aussie pop - it works for us, but it's hardly on an international level. But if they were serious about launching her, I think that's the way to go. A tracklist for her first album would be, for me:

1. Running Back

2. Pop a Bottle

3. Because

4. Forget Your Name

5. What Happened to Us

6. Beautiful

7. Kick Up Your Heels

8. Like This

9. Kiss Me Hello

10. Never be the Same

11. Empty

12. To the End of the Earth

13. Saturday Night

14. Here For Me

15. Inescapable

16. Galaxy

I'm iffy about Inescapable being on there, but Burn is definitely too dated now. I know they're her biggest hits, but we need to let go now. They haven't aged well at all!

There is nothing on Beautiful that couldn't be successful in the UK. I also wouldn't say that her music is bland, cheap aus-pop either. Mainly because she started out as an RnB singer... Get 'Em Girls was a little too generic american but this album is not bland, neither is she, and Burn is not dated. Classics NEVA AGE

I think I Believe is her best chance, but I agree. She isn't Ricki-Lee (no shade, I do like Ricki), clearly not given she has songs like Kick Up Your Heels and Get 'Em Girls in her repertoire. Pop A Bottle, Kick Up Your Heels, I Believe and a couple of the ballads could easily be at least moderate hits if pushed properly.

Wait a second, have you not heard the album yet? I can heap no higher praise onto it than it's probably the best album I've heard since the final Sugababes (Strictly MKS-3.0 only) album Catfights & Spotlights.

It really is an incredible album  Slaughters her previous albums even, which says a LOT because they're amazing.

This is #4 on iTunes Australia and has been a good few days now, looking like her 7th top 10 hit <3

I think I listened to it on YouTube when it was first released but I can't remember it. I'll have to have another listen! :D

Apparently Jessica will be performing this song as well as a new song at Eurovision in a couple of weeks time as Jessica retweeted a radio station saying that she is performing it at Eurovision!
