March 26, 201412 yr Route 94 is the third song this year to get 10 weeks on the playlist (following Clean Bandit and Sam Smith), might even get an 11th week next week :o
March 26, 201412 yr Some fantastic additions this week! Not only has the exquisite Robin Schulz remix of Mr Probz Waves    been added well ahead of it's scheduled release, but Cash Cash, DJ Snake, Sub Focus, Meridian Dan, and SOHN get on the playlist action too. :cheer:
March 26, 201412 yr Why are they still bothering with The Kooks? Ugh. Pleased for Neon Jungle though.
March 26, 201412 yr It's nice to see Calvin Harris moving up in the playlist again, hopefully it will be in the A-List next week.
March 26, 201412 yr Boo-urns at the inclusion of The Kooks, hideous, even by their low standards. Good for Catfish & The Bottlemen moving up to the B List though. I doubt it'll be a hit, but at least R1 are putting their money where their mouth is by giving support to new rock bands.

Why do they suddenly dump many successful acts from the 2000's from their playlist but keep playlisting some of the rubbish ones on (like The Kooks, Paolo Nutini, Sean Paul)?
March 26, 201412 yr The Kooks are not completely rubbish imo She Moves In Her Own Way, Sign Sign Sign On & Always Where I Need To Be are good songs.

Why do they suddenly dump many successful acts from the 2000's from their playlist but keep playlisting some of the rubbish ones on (like The Kooks, Paolo Nutini, Sean Paul)? Maybe because your opinions are not universally accepted? The new ones from The Kooks and Paolo Nutini are great, and they're both amazing acts, so I see nothing wrong with it being play listed. At least it brings some diversity to the playlist since 90% of it is in the same genre.

Why do they suddenly dump many successful acts from the 2000's from their playlist but keep playlisting some of the rubbish ones on (like The Kooks, Paolo Nutini, Sean Paul)? A) They have really good, high paid PRs and radio pluggers that can twist the arms of the R1 playlist committee to get them on the list. Although I must admit the new Paolo Nutini song isn't too bad.
March 27, 201412 yr Very happy about the DJ Snake support! Yes it has been bubbling about for a few months now but hopefully this playlisting will help it move on up! Bipolar Sunshine however, as great as the song is, why are they plonking it on the INMWT List when it came out 7 weeks ago? They put his last single in there too - I just think they have the view that the daytime listeners aren't ready for the artist yet <_< but you usually find that when they release an album (prob near the end if the yr) they will put the first single proper onto the main playlist! Good eg being Lightening Bolt by Jake Bugg was put on the INMWT list in April before the album release in Oct!

Why do they suddenly dump many successful acts from the 2000's from their playlist but keep playlisting some of the rubbish ones on (like The Kooks, Paolo Nutini, Sean Paul)? The Kooks & Paolo are only on album 3/4 respectively they haven't exactly been around for 20 yrs lol. Paulos last album was one of the biggest if the yr it was released & The Kooks last lead single was a listed in Sept 2011! Whats the difference between them supporting the kooks still & say The Saturdays? Edited March 27, 201412 yr by steve201
March 27, 201412 yr Did R1 even support The Kooks' last album?! I'm finding their support of 'Down' quite strange. Though with Klaxons on the A-List as well perhaps not so much. YAY at 'Turn Down For What' being playlisted. Hope it can somehow become a hit. On a very different note S O H N finally getting some R1 support as well  WHAT is 'Magic' doing still on the B-List though. It's The Kooks 4th album & IMO the new single is quite unique & different enough to give them continued support. Yes the a listed "Is it Me" in Sept 2011 & b listed the second single. Wish Magic was alisted but think they're stalling it because the albums not out for a while although I was sure they would release another single before then!
March 28, 201412 yr YES for the Kooks! The Kooks & Paolo's new ones>>>some of the shit clogging up the charts
