This must be the first week in a LONG time that there's not a One Direction album in the Top 50 (and they've only got one album in the Top 100!)

EDIT: Midnight Memories has actually fallen 13-37-56 in the last two weeks :o their first two albums hung around the Top 40 for months!

I don't want to be the devil's advocate but their first two albums hadn't the same -strong- beginning of sales like"Midnight Memories"..The latter had very high sales in the first month of release and that's why it doesn't sell so much after 4 months...It has already sold more than 760.000 copies and it's not so far away from "Take Me Home"..Their gap is not so big..

Ouch - Just realised that The Wanted's final single 'Glow In The Dark' missed the Top 100!!

Good on J Cole being in the top 75, i assume his video started getting played last wk? That along with radio 1 playlisting. Is that his first top 75 hit?

I always knew that would happen.

I always knew that would happen.

Makes Beautiful Cause You Love Me look like a smash :kink:

'Power Trip' (feat. Miguel) peaked at #46. He's had more success in the album chart where 'Cole World: The Sideline Story' reached #25 and 'Born Sinner' got all the way to #7.

Thanks, thats right i remembe rthat Miguel single now, most of his songs have been supported by radio 1 which is good to see!

Surely Dr Hook (not even a real doctor) wasn't accidentally released two weeks before Mother's Day?

I always knew that would happen.

Didn't think it would be a smash but considering their chart history has been 1-2-19-3-1-2-21-2-3-4-10-8 and the fact it's their final single to suddenly not even manage to scrape the Top 100 is a mighty fall from grace!

5 41wks Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?

=8 34wks Drake feat. Majid Jordan - Hold On, We're Going Home

These two, particularly the former, have had great longevity considering they never seemed that big (with 19 and 17 weeks in the top 40 respectively). 'Do I Wanna Know?' must be working its way up the non-top 10 bestsellers list quite nicely.

Albums:

7 52wks Imagine Dragons - Night Visions

'Night Visions' should pass platinum during its anniversary week on the chart :D. It's done very well when you consider its opening sales were only 23.3k.

Im not 100% sure but the RE for Royal Blood Little Monsters could well be because last week was the impact date/vinyl release date?

I doubt the vinyl release had much to do with it as I saw it as high as the 70s on iTunes during the week - I guess it is just because radio support peaked last week (as it was the impact date). It's actually been holding up rather well, has remained top 200 since its release, though this is its first week since its debut that it's been top 100.

Yeah it peaked at 95 on the week ending 22/2/14 on its initial release. Its held up well as you say, great track - with proper airplay it could have been a top 40 hit - maybe later in the yr before the album release!

95 N 1 Royal Blood Little Monster

#78 George Michael - Twenty Five [release of new album 'Symphonica' / Mother's Day effect?]

Was it last week when there was a documentary or a concert shown on TV? That will have helped this re-enter, as well as the two reasons given.

Dropping out (* = for the first time since entering):

#78 Storm Queen - Look Right Through *

#80 Little Mix - Move *

Funny how similarly these have performed, with them debuting, leaving the top 40 and now exiting the top 100 all in the same week as one another.
