This thread is for the album discussion. There's a separate thread for tour discussion!

Interesting move I guess... Looking forward to it anyway.

Apparently it's a Greatest Hits tour.

Have they actually sold out arenas before?

in the mailer just sent! "we can't wait to get out on the road and showcase our journey so far! this is not the end, just a milestone along the way" - Frankie

:D

I was ecstatic when I read that! I mean surely if this greatest hits was an end if the road type thing, they would say so, or at least, not stress that it wasn't! Therefore I am sure this means they are not giving up!!! Whoop whoop!!!

Also this album is gonna be sick!!! :w00t:

I'm quietly confident this can better Headlines' chart position

I think we're looking at anything between 1 - 5. It depends what else is out. Either way, I think it'll equate to 100 - 200k sales, which will be great for them.

Ooops! Buzzjack domination!

Not really a Greatest Hits though, is it? They just lumped all their singles onto an album, it's a Singles Collection. A Greatest Hits EP would be more suited to them.

I know I didn't post 61 times but it's easy to post loads if you don't confine yourself to one part of the forum. :(

I'm truly embarrassed. It isn't all on The Saturdays forum though.

I think most pop groups call their compilations a 'Greatest Hits', despite including every single on there! They never tend to take that term very literally by only including the greatest hits.

Strangely in 2006, Girls Aloud's was called 'The Sound of Girls Aloud - The Greatest Hits', which contained all 14 of their singles up to that point, whereas Sugababes released 'Overloaded: The Singles Collection', which in fact was only a selection of their singles, not all of them! I also found it strange that Girls Aloud, who'd kept to the same line up throughout their career, didn't use a picture of themselves on their cover, whereas the Sugababes decided it was appropriate to include an image of 3.0 on a CD containing mostly 2.0 era singles. I always felt like these two groups did the opposite of what they should have done with their respective collections.

*That was slightly off topic, oops*

I'm not too keen on the image used for The Saturdays' Greatest Hits. Yet again they have a cover where it looks super obvious that the girls were photographed individually and then they've been photo-shopped together. I wonder why they never do proper group shots for their covers? It'd look so much more natural.
