Sometimes a flop era can be a blessing in disguise as the release that follows a flop is crucial and can often result in much stronger material. While i love impossible princess its lack of success outside Australia resulted in Kylie releasing her best album ever.

I find it hard to support a project i genuinely dont like. I will simply buy i was gonna cancel for the collection but its likely i wont even play the single as i hate the song and i am finding kiss me once extremely hard to listen to as i dont really like the direction she has taken. While some fans do enjoy the album i think overall it looks like most of her fans are not big fans of the album from reading various boards and forums etc. Maybe she is trying to appeal to a new audience as well as her old but so far it isnt working.

I do understand them using the Pharrell bandwagon but even that i dont think will sell it, if it does good and well i wont be disappointed as i like Kylie to do well but i just hope the next album is much better and there is something that will get me excited about her music again.

well just because I'm a fan, that doesn't mean I am going to support an artist if they release something that's so wrong. I can't stand I was gonna cancel. The only reason I hope this flops is to send a strong message to Kylie and her record company that she can do a lot better and its time to move on from this era to better things.

I see where you are coming from but the single needs to go at the most top 20 is she wants her album to sell further. There are some tracks on the album which are too good to be associated with a flop album but I do get the frustration of her releasing yet another bad single choice (BTT and PYHU were awful choices for me).

Great not even Kylie fans are supporting me these days....... no wonder I'm not selling as many songs.... tell you what guys, don't bother turning up to my concerts either............... there is not 'liking a song', and then there's 'wanting the era to flop' very sad.........

Calm down Kylie! :P

I think to say most fans are displeased with the direction of this album is a massive misdiagnosis. I would say the consensus has been stronger than Aphrodite and generally a return to form.

The more I play this song, the more it makes sense as a single. The public aren't interested in "Kylie songs" like Les Sex or Sexy Love anymore. It has to push the boundaries and be something "cooler". This, Feels So Good and Fine are the single choices. And I would contend Beautiful as well.

I think the biggest problem with Kylie is she needs to release something that's more suited to her age rather than songs with references to sex or being on the dance floor. She is 45 years old and has a great voice but her voice seems so over processed on her latest album and the style is more relevant to a 20 year old singer. I feel she is trying to appeal to the younger generation too much. The abbey road album was stunning and still sold reasonably well within a short period of time.

The public aren't interested in Kylie full stop, I'd say.

Agree to some extent but I think the general public don't really connect with Kylie's music right now.

This song really does sound it's best when you play it really loud in the car with the sun shining and the windows down. I was having a right little boogie in the car park

of Tesco earlier.

The public aren't interested in Kylie full stop, I'd say.

Frankly I think the album is let down by a lack of direction compared with the previous 5 parlophone albums.

Apparantly Golden Boy will serve as the b-side. Nothing official, but a few places are saying this.

Would be a good idea, I'm sure it would get a few more sales for the physical of 'I Was Gonna Cancel' if there was a new song with it rather than just a load of remixes.

Its more likely to be bought by fans but its still a poo song so can't see it doing well among the general public.

It's a "poo" song to you, but you and the others here don't represent the general public.
It's pretty obvious slowdown was stating his own views. Cut out the constant snarking Regina. It's unnecessary and f***ing irritating.
Can the attitude Jark or I will report you. Final warning, you are constantly moaning and nitpicking and it is tiresome.

Well I love it! :P

I don't that much, it's third weakest song on album,

1 Beautiful

2 Into The Blue

3 I Was Gonna Cancel

all weakest are singles

I can't stand it either, but I won't deny it's probably the smartest choice of single. Nothing she releases will exactly be massive so why not try and get in on the "in" sound with a big name attached? Even though there's a slim chance of it actually doing much, the chance isn't as slim as it would be if she released another traditionally Kylie track - the public don't want that anymore clearly.

Nick imma slap you silly.

Sexy Love, Million Miles and Sparks are the weakest. Fact.
