Tbh I don't care who performs it, I don't watch any shows - and surely I'm BY FAR not alone in that?

I can't imagine people would be nasty beyond saying it didn't deserve to win because it ISN'T ACTUALLY THAT GOOD YOU FOOLS.

As long as the song's good

ppl are nasty (pixie lott gif / may she rip) no matter what wins. when i won last month the general responses were "disappointing winner" and "i would have preferred if x won". it's so very ungracious and sour.

it's a democratic vote and whatever wins is most popular. think people should lighten up and show a little more positive spirit.

'Ungracious and sour' is a bit strong for expressing one's disapproval for a winner don't you think, Jake? It's not as if they were denying that the song had won. If a song has won the positive responses will inevitably outweigh the negative responses, although in that case the former were perhaps not so vocal.

^ really? I only saw a positive response to your victory!

But generally you're right, the amount of negative responses is almost always bigger, as:

a) albeit something got the most amount of votes, it didn't get 50%+ of votes, i.e. overwhelming majority of them

b) people tend to express their opinion more often if they don't agree with some action, and when they agree they see no point in that.

Edit: my response was to Jake, not Harve

Yeah, I was one who said that I'd have personally preferred a Skall win but I still gave SOHN 6 points, which would automatically mean I like it v much as well, so hardly an ungracious response~

this ain't no russia, we still have right 4 free speech here~~

that was my person perception of the situation harve. that is how i felt following my win last time. i'm not crying myself to sleep over it and nor am i tarring everybody with the same proverbial brush.

Aye okay. But if I don't like tonight's winner, then I'd like to think I'd be able to make a post saying so without riling up the user that sent it. :o

I have also edited my votes, though I still think Aeroche will win, Sissy will be higher than my original 5th prediction (2nd).

Fully supporting this

There's so many great songs though so I'll probably be happy with tonight's winner.

Are these connected??

My only salt about 'Artifice' winning was that I had previously flopped with the same artist (who had been expected to do well at the time). That aside it was a brilliant winner, one of my favourite ever in fact.
