Celine Dion's " Loved me back to life ", 21 weeks consecutive in top 100 ^_^ ... Great !

Edited by Michael2013

Gutted to see The Pierces so low - The song deserved to be a hit, I really hope their album can do as well as their mainstream debut.
I'm gutted for the Klaxons too :( I don't really get why it didn't connect enough with the public to at least go Top 40.
I'm surprised (but pleased) at J. Cole's success with 'She Knows'! His second-highest-charting hit behind 'Power Trip'. 'Crooked Smile' was a single in between those two but somehow missed the chart...I don't think Radio 1 played it as much.
Happy for J Cole gutted for the Klaxons - its was top 40 all week until saturday morning grr an early release might have helped it better. Radio 1 was the only real supporters of it though. Still has made me interested in the new album though!

In other news, Demi Lovato's 'Let It Go' has broken the decade-to-date record for most weeks in the top 100 without making the top 40 (excluding songs which peaked in the top 40 prior to 2010), getting a 16th week to beat the 15 weeks of Ben Howard's 'Keep Your Head Up' and The 1975's 'Girls'. Here is a full list of songs with 11+ weeks in the top 100 without making the top 40 in the decade to date, because why not (bolded songs have never made the top 40) :magic:

Weeks Artist Song

35 Mumford & Sons Little Lion Man

28 Chase And Status End Credits [feat. Plan B]

27 Beyoncé Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)

23 Jay-Z 99 Problems

20 Coldplay Fix You

16 Coldplay Viva La Vida

16 Demi Lovato Let It Go

15 The 1975 Girls

15 Ben Howard Keep Your Head Up

15 Eminem Lose Yourself

15 Lady Gaga Just Dance [feat. Colby O'Donis]

15 Shakin' Stevens Merry Christmas Everyone

14 Taylor Swift Love Story

13 Lil Wayne Drop The World [feat. Eminem]

13 The Script Breakeven

12 Beyoncé Halo

12 Drake Forever [feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem]

12 The Kooks Naïve

12 Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel For The First Time In Forever

12 Muse Uprising

12 Paloma Faith New York

11 Aerosmith I Don't Want To Miss A Thing

11 Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Over The Rainbow

11 Lady Gaga Paparazzi

11 Olly Murs Busy

11 Rihanna Man Down

And in other other news Lacuna Coil are quickly proving themselves to be the Gorky's Zygotic Mynci of the album chart, as 'Broken Crown Halo' gives them a 4th top 50 album without a top 40 album to their name yet (their highest chart placing being #42 for 2009's 'Shallow Life').

So, Demi Lovato has her first record in U.k music charts (Adele who?).. :P
