April 9, 201411 yr Lol at that top 10. Top 7 are all non-movers for a second week in a row. Last week 8 and 9 swapped and now they've swapped back again (putting the older song back ahead) and we now have #10 as a non-mover to boot. Such movement.
April 10, 201411 yr Hadn't realised how well Paramore were doing. My prediction of "Ain't It Fun" flopping here and giving them a new peak in the US looks like coming true, albeit a year after I said it.
April 10, 201411 yr Author 76 OUT Lady GaGa - G.U.Y. :o :o I cannot believe Lady GaGa is out of the Hot 100 already. It means she spent just 1 week on the chart. That video did NOTHING for the song's performance.
April 10, 201411 yr Dafuq ?? Loyal still gaining even a 2 weeks after the video streaming effet ! And very low sales ! WOW
April 10, 201411 yr Has that NEEDTOBREATHE song seriously not even made Bubbling Under after going (admittedly very briefly) top 3 on iTunes? Or is it due to appear in next week's chart? Shame 'La La La' seems to have died since its deletion from iTunes, hope it can recover... good week for Sam Smith otherwise though of course, strong debut for 'Stay With Me' and 'Latch' back in 10 places higher than it was before! #60 isn't a bad debut for 5SOS considering 140-odd thousand sales for it haven't counted to the Hot 100. One wonders if they've peaked already or if their later singles will do even better though. That KONGOS song is quite good, sounds like it could be the next worldwide rock-ish hit. Didn't knwo they were from South Africa though :o
April 10, 201411 yr I think even this particular 5SOS song will comfortably beat its début? I see no reason it won't become a proper hit.
April 10, 201411 yr I think even this particular 5SOS song will comfortably beat its début? I see no reason it won't become a proper hit. True! Thought I suspect the EP will have a fairly embarrassing dropoff in its second week (though that won't look too bad as it didn't get to #1 anyway).
April 11, 201411 yr Lol at that top 10. Top 7 are all non-movers for a second week in a row. Last week 8 and 9 swapped and now they've swapped back again (putting the older song back ahead) and we now have #10 as a non-mover to boot. Such movement. At least a #10 is not the same as two weeks ago!!! " :magic: "
April 11, 201411 yr Author Dafuq ?? Loyal still gaining even a 2 weeks after the video streaming effet ! And very low sales ! WOW - Radio Songs: #24 - Digital Songs: #24 - Streaming Songs: #6 Streaming definitely propping Chris Brown up.
April 13, 201411 yr I found this interesting: (source) "Happy" tops the Hot 100 for the seventh week. The feel-good smash is the first song by a male solo artist (who wasn't part of a collaboration) to log seven weeks at #1 since T.I.'s"Whatever You Like" in 2008. "Happy" this week ties "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" for the longest run at #1 by a song that an individual artist wrote, produced and performed all by himself, with no credited collaborators. The Soulja Boy Tell'em smash was on top for seven weeks in 2007. There have been a few close calls. Gotye wrote and produced "Somebody That I Used To Know" (eight weeks on top in 2013), but employed a featured artist, Kimbra. Andre 3000 wrote, produced and performed OutKast's "Hey Ya!" (nine weeks on top in 2003-2004), but it was credited to the duo. This is the longest run at #1 on the Hot 100 for song that was nominated for an Oscar, but didn't win, since "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" (from "Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves"). Bryan Adams's single had seven weeks on top in 1991 (and lost to "Beauty And The Beast").EWW at Crank That having a chart record like that :drama: (until Pharrell takes it next week). I'd forgotten that "Whatever You Like" had so many weeks at #1 considering it was constantly trading places with "Live Your Life"!
