I agree that Ariana always seems a bit dead-behind-the-eyes whenever I've seen her perform and this video is no exception. There's something not right about that girl. She has the makings of a Stepford Wife. Are we sure she's a real human? I can't imagine she's ever actually had a 'problem' other than needing her batteries changed every once in a while. Also why is her hair always like that?

The song's a jam anyway which is the main thing.

She always has her hair like that because when she was on Victorious she was made to dye her hair every week for 4 years which damaged it so she wears extensions but if she has her hair down they show so she tries to have it in a style which is comfortable for her

I can only echo what everyone has said about the video... She just looks like she's trying for too hard to be an innocently sexy and dainty girl next door with the way she softly mimes everything, but there's no need because she's got the look nailed down. I don't think her dancing is really that bad, I guess Iggy being such a star doesn't help and only serves to highlight Ariana's flaws.

Regardless of the video, the song is seriously astounding and is going to be a properly colossal hit.

it's because she's just so god damn smug and entitled, so she gets complacent and thinks she CAN do the minimal and that her cutesy looks will be enough. stop RELYING on that FACE/BODY!
I really don't believe this at ALL. Quite the opposite tbh.

Maybe it's a phase? We can only hope for her sake.

In my opinion, you either got it or you don't. And she does NOT.

What record?

Second ever artist to have placed #1 and #2 on the same week, bar The Beatles.

Iggy looks even worse in my opinion.

The video is so awkward and cringy oh my god. Iggy and Ariana look good but there's nothing going on in the video and when the choreography is very much a non-event.

Thankfully it hasn't ruined the song for me as that it brilliant ^_^

Average video, I love Ariana but she just seemed like she had no energy whatsover and Iggy looked bored/uncomfortable imo. Big Sean's lipsyncing was surprisingly the best part.

Still the song is brilliant so I'm not too bothered.

Iggy does. Not Ariana. Just so no one gets it twisted.

UH OH

I think the Griff U-turn has struck again :(

That's not true. There's probably more examples but Ashanti did this in 2002 ('Foolish' and 'What's Luv?') and Black Eyed Peas in 2009 ('Boom Boom Pow', 'I Gotta Feeling').

Or is there a difference?

The record is actually having the top 2 entries at the same time with her first two Hot 100 hits (Work only entered the chart when Fancy really took off), Foolish/What's Luv were Ashanti's second and third I think!

Oh I see.

Yeah, I think 'Always on Time' was Ashanti's first.

Just watched the video for the first time and my god how hot is Iggy Azalea? With that hair she looks like Dolly Parton (40 years ago).
Very shockingly, 'Problem' is being released as a CD single here which includes 3 extra remixes and a poster! :o You can pre-order it now on Amazon for £2.99 (but you'll probably have to pay for postage). Still very exciting that a CD single is being released though and I have just ordered it!
