I've got total sales of 766,000, but that includes the physicals from 2004 - are these likely to be higher than 20K?

Yes about 63k of physicals back in 2004. Download sales were officially counted since they were included in the charts from April 2005 onwards (though there were several mysterious rules which meant that a single didn't chart although the download tallies kept being added to their totals and which would have been enough to put the song, sometimes inside in the top 20- Maneater and Crazy to mention a few notable examples)

What a comedown from Coldplay and RATM. Never liked 'Dynamite' much and it's even worse now. Shame as Taio used to be very decent!
Had no idea Dynamite had sold so much, for some reason I thought it had stopped at about 550k. Reminds me of living in Wrexham
The 'ultimate' portion of my statement referred to it never even reaching the top ten.

*.* Rage Against The Machine

But the Mraz chart run does at least make it look like the song was a big seller. Mr Brightside's chart run does not.

In other news I'm heading out now- Can a chart mod keep the OP up to date with the full list. I'll work on some more sales when I get back later. Thanks

Well in that case the 'ultimate trickle seller' accolade should go to something like Eye Of The Tiger which has sold about half a million downloads having only recharted for 5 weeks in the past 10 years! I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, depends what way you interpret various data.

First time hearing the (far superior) Jay-Z version of 'Empire State Of Mind' in an absolute age, the Alicia solo version seems to have totally overshadowed it. Quite surprised it's only barely ahead actually.
I think the Alicia Keys version of Empire State Of Mind is the first song here I have NO MEMORIES of

GWON RAGE, that 2009 Christmas number 1 battle was genuinely one of my favourite chart memories ever.

Youngster! :o

No? I can recall it but I have no strong memories about any events that take me back to the song.

Time for Chez Wombat to take over! :D Thanks for having me.

Bray declaring me dead bang on 1pm though... shady. x
