I'm not one of the OA/OS brigade but I do think 2 months is quite ridiculous considering the amount of hype and pre-orders it's getting. I would give it a month to build airplay and by then it'll smash at #1 and have a healthy chart run.

Royksopp & Robyn are #75 :D

This needs to SMASH

I think that might just be a *teensy* bit of an exaggeration considering we're talking about someone who has never made the top 40 before... :P The only acts who could shift 100k in a week with an OA/OS track are the likes of Rihanna and Adele (and Gaga when she was still popular), Ariana will only get sales close to that big with a held back release.

Who would've predicted around this time last year that Daft Punk could shift over 150k in 7 days with a OA/OS release?! Would 'Get Lucky' have sold anywhere near a million if it had been held back for 2 months? Probably not as it's hype would've burned out well before the release... 'Problem' could be one of those tracks that can blow up organically from buzz/hype, as it appears to have done Stateside... I don't subscribe to the theory that the only way to get a large first week sale is to arbitrarily hold the track back for x number of weeks.

Great to see Fancy and Loyal back in the top 10. Such catchy songs. Problem is great as well.

I'm surprised German Whip is still top 60, considering how fast it fell on iTunes in its first week.

 21. Ariana Grande - Problem (feat. Iggy Azalea) (Pre-Order)

And now time for that famous question........... what's the highest a song has got on pre-order?

It might have something to do with this

lol. I wonder if it can go to #1 like Thrift Shop and Talk Dirty did.

I love the German Whip parody.

The #1's for the next few weeks should be:

11/5: Summer - Calvin Harris

18/5: I Will Never Let You Down - Rita Ora

25/5: I Will Never Let You Down again (unless Sam Smith, or FUSE ODG are possible threats)

01/6: I Wanna Feel - SecondCity

08/6: Sing - Ed Sheeran

The #1's for the next few weeks should be:

01/6: I Wanna Feel - SecondCity

08/6: Sing - Ed Sheeran

I'm gonna disagree with you there. I can't see Calvin and Rita holding onto their #1s for a second week running. I think the #1s will go like:

4/5 Calvin Harris 'Summer'

11/5 Mr. Probz 'Waves (Robin Schulz Remix)'

18/5 Rita Ora 'I Will Never Let You Down'

25/5 Sam Smith 'Stay With Me'

1/6 Secondcity 'I Wanna Feel'

8/6 Ed Sheeran 'Sing'

15/6 Ella Henderson 'Ghost'

22/6 not sure at this point. Second week for Ella or Ed if the schedule is dead but something could come up by then

The #1's for the next few weeks should be:

11/5: Calvin Harris - Summer

18/5: I Will Never Let You Down - Rita Ora

25/5: I Will Never Let You Down again (unless Sam Smith, or FUSE ODG are possible threats)

01/6: I Wanna Feel - SecondCity

08/6: Sing - Ed Sheeran

IMO, Rita and Calvin don't deserve two weeks at number one each. Their songs are just ok.

I would go for:

04/5: Calvin Harris - Summer

11/5: Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea - Problem

18/5: Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down

25/5: Clean Bandit feat. Sharna Bass - Extraordinary

01/6: Clean Bandit feat. Sharna Bass - Extraordinary

08/6: Ed Sheeran - Sing

I was trying to start a joke :P, I already knew Clean Bandit had the highest pre order song.

Well your humour didn't change then :P :yahoo:

 74 Kings Of Leon - Use Somebody

 81 Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar

 84 R. Kelly - The World's Greatest

:ne: 94 Kasabian - Fire

:re: 96 The Saturdays - Not Giving Up

79p songs in the top 100:

:ne: 68 Ricky Dillon - Ordinary

How 'Problem' is so high on pre-orders I will never know.

I've just listened to it and it sounds awful. The whole 'Trumpets' type sound running through most of the song is hurtful to the ears, and even more so is Iggy Azalea's rapping, who I believe has the most annoying vocals since Nikki Minaj.

If it weren't for the above it would still be left as just an average pop song?

What a horrible way to end the current great No.1s we've been having...
