Was the Asylum remix big at the time or was it just the original that got airplay?

 

I hear the former a lot on KISSTORY but never really thought about sending it until it came up on shuffle!

 

I do seem to recall a garage remix of it doing pretty well but not sure if it was the Asylum remix. It certainly deserved to be more than a 1 week top 40 wonder though, nice entry. Sounds pretty fresh somehow with the recent success of Disclosure and Shift K3y.

What an absolute MOMENT in semi 2 when Evian Christ leads into Belinda Carlisle! Don't think we've ever had such a contrast between two songs :lol:

 

Having listened to both semis now, it's a very strong contest. A lot i'm loving from each, but semi 2 edges it. Going to be an absolute bloodbath all over come results night...

semi 2 is strong (doh!) and I have voted, were I able to mention them there would be condolences a-plenty. And I've yet to hear ANY of semi 1 or the AQ's.

 

I think some have been under-rated in semi 2, so far, based on predictions and odds. There's always hope! :lol:

From a listen to the recap the other day before I listened to the songs in full, I was expecting this to be one of the weakest semis I've ever been in, but it turned out being pretty decent. 11 solid songs I wanted to vote for and only 3 songs ranked below 'would listen again' level. A fairly clear cut fave, 2nd fave and least fave. No prizes for guessing who the latter is.

Voted! It's a decent semi but two songs stand head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, and one of those is my favourite BJSC discovery in a while. Semi 2 has another wow moment in it. Two 10/10's in the same contest *.*

Voted - quite a wonderful semi again with a lot of countries surprising me in a good way, and only one complete horror. I do really hope my 12 pointer goes through, despite the odds being against it atm (which seems to be the same for quite a lot of my faves sadly :()
