Yay! At Wheatus back in the Top 40. :yahoo:

Also happy to see The Black Keys Fever back up to #48. Had the album land in my inbox today. :D

I don't even hate the Wheatus song, but REALLY, why reducing it by 40p increases its popularity so much is most odd to me (obv the reduction thing for new songs is a given why they do better, I'm not arguing with the principle, just this case study)
I do understand why really as it's obviously a pretty 'nostalgic' song for people and seeing it advertised in the 59p section is bound to make people think 'ooh I remember that song, I'll download that' more than a lot of other songs. Why people are so nostalgic about such a whiney and intolerable heap of shit (sorry gratuitous swearing again but it's REALLY justified in this case) is beyond me though.
It's a classic and will forever soundtrack my uni years for various reasons even though it's over a decade old, but I'm surprised that literally EVERY time it's reduced (which I'm pretty has been loads) it shoots to the top 40, do people really need THAT much of a memory jog? Especially as it plummets the moment it's back at normal price. A bit like the 59p version of Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)...

17. Michael Jackson "Love Never Felt So Good" (& 48)

Should be looking at a new peak and hopefully a decent few weeks T40, great lead single (though I'm not a fan of a second album following his death).

It's a great song, hoping the rest of the album will follow suit.

"Holding Onto Heaven" is a MUCH better song than the massive disappointment that is "Let Go For Tonight" but it is still no "Youth" (and never will be).

DIMINISHING returns.

52. Hoodie Allen - Show Me What You're Made Of

What is this?

Have you ever heard of Google or you tube

-_-

What is this mystical "Google" you speak of??

Anyway sad that Jamie xx has fallen off the T100, and Robyn too. :( The only thing to get remotely excited about is a re-entry at 89 for Sampha's "Too Much".

Very few songs are as good as Youth, really.

Youth was completely killed by Debenhams for me. I used to hear it 200 times a week in full for about 5 months solid.

Maybe now I don't work there anymore I can go back to it at some point and not be reminded of darker times!

I agree about Teenage Dirtbag. It is probably my least favourite song of all time. Just a hideous whiny mess.
Did they at least throw the (glorious) orchestral version into the mix to spice it up a bit?

Yes they did at Xmas, it was the ONLY version they played for a good month and a half. Things become less gorgeous when you hear them eight times an hour.
