TWO NIGHT PREMIERE.

Well 16 houseguests have been revealed and not a single returning player among them.

 

But Frankie Grande, the older brother of Ariana, is going in.

LEGIT SHOCKED THERE IS NOBODY RETURNING.

Happy though, the people being discussed I did NOT want to see again.

 

Haven't really checked out the noobs in any capacity, not really drawn in as of yet. I am however excited to see how all these twists will go.

 

Alas, we will need to wait until next year to see returning people. I was actually getting excited. I want a full on All-Stars again, but I want them to go back as far as Season Two. I want to see Lisa (BB3) play again. I just re-watched Season 3. I think she could have added so much to the first All-Stars. She was more All-Star worthy than Nakomis or Diane for sure.

None of them look particularly interesting at all.

Cool that "Battle of the Block" is two nominees versus the other two nominees. I thought it might have put the two HOHs against each other but this makes strategy more interesting.

 

Already taken to Nicole, Victoria could be a lot of fun too. How much I like Frankie and how annoying he is depends on how often Ariana Grande gets brought up. Did you know that she's one of the most famous people *in the world*???

So far my fave is Paola :wub: She seems like a lot of fun! I like most of them in all honesty, they seem like a really likeable bunch. I am sure that a villain will emerge soon enough though.

Victoria and Brittany won the Battle of the Block, therefore saving themselves and dethroning Frankie

Donny won POV.

 

This is my first season so I'll probably have a BBUK mindset/viewpoint although the format is very different! So far I love Paola (she seems so fun but not a pushover at all), Christina (she seems quite down to earth and weird but fun) and Nicole (she just seems really nice and grounded). Frankie is fun too but could be very annoying, he says he won't tell the other houseguests about Ariana so he just goes on about her ad nauseum otherwise... He is very much like a Drag Race contestant personality wise though!

 

Caleb and Cody are sooooo hot too. The former is apparently somewhat homophobic and racist though according to an American guy I follow on twitter :(

Kind of an odd year to watch BBUS TBH, this format is.. so weird. Not a fan. I don't think it's going to go down very well with the fans. I think they'll probably drop it week 4 or 5 and go back to the regular way.

That seems to be the way they do it, from what I've seen from BB13 onwards anyway (the only seasons I've seen). The duos, coaches and MVP twists all got dropped around halfway through, can see the same happening here too.

This is so much better than BBUK right now ... okay not much drama is happening (but I expect it will soon), but it is all just a lot of FUN. The personalities are much better than last year too which was just nasty.

Are there highlights shows or just the live shows? Or you do have to watch live feed to see things happen?

There is a Big Brother: After Dark thing which kind of works like a highlights show I think? I dunno I only ever bothered to watch the main show coz I am lazy.

There are highlights shows on Sunday and Wednesday, with the live eviction on Thursday!

Ohhhh ok thanks, that's good! Not too much to keep up with then, with BB UK on at the same time (and BB Australia due in a few weeks or so) I would have got swamped under by so much to watch daily :lol:

After Dark is just "Live Feeds" from the house for 3 hours at night.

However, it's not really "live" - just pre-recorded from a few hours earlier. I haven't ever really bothered. You either get the housemates getting drunk, but if they are talking game they usually whisper and it's hard to pick up on things.

 

Sometimes you get gold when they're wasted and arguing.

 

I worry about this year - they have a LOT to throw into 3 shows a week. HOH, Nominations, Battle of the Block, Power of Veto, Have/Have Not Competitions..

Not to mention, you don't really get a full episode on Thursdays since there is usually voting, chatting with the house, filler pieces ect..

 

We will see how this all pans out I guess.
