The as-yet untitled follow-up to his #1 album Blurred Lines is released 1st July. The lead single premièred this week at the Billboard Music Awards and The Voice final.

The song is a drastic change to the controversial "Blurred Lines", although I feel it's more in line with his earlier music (although I'm unfamiliar with the majority of it). I imagine the song was written for his estranged wife. Either way, it's dull-as, and I imagine he'll fade back to obscurity as quick as he came out of it.

To be honest he's had his time in the spotlight time for him to fade back into obsurity, not a fan of him at all but did like Blurred Lines though great tune

Rap-Up has reported that he's naming the album Paula.

I've really liked Robin (Magic and Dreamworld >>>) but can't take any of this seriously and kind of hope it gets delayed :drama:

lololoving it!
Cannot wait to see reviews for this. I must admit, I feel a bit bad for the wife though! Must be very embarrassing to have your husband begging for you to come back in such a public way.
This is bizarre. Who would buy this album if it's entirely exclusively directed at one person?! I'd say even Paula would give it a miss.
The cover looks so cheap and the concept is really tacky. Way to kill off your career after releasing one of the biggest songs of all time.

So bad and deeply unsettling.

Trying to get out of this whole thing as a victim. Have seen a few comments about how Paula is a bitch that she won't take Robin back and that he's such a hero and a great guy for making an ENTIRE ALBUM for and about her.

Most of the comments on this are along the lines of 'Robin Thicke/the video is creepy' and other negative comments though so it's not like Robin's gonna get good publicity from this song/album. I doubt they'll get back together anyway. It's her decision though and hopefully she doesn't feel publicly pressured from this to get back (and considering the bad publicity, I don't think she will).

What I'm loving more is how virtually every song title is relevant to the situation.

so doing a bit of analysis~

01 You’re My Fantasy - duh

02 Get Her Back - duh

03 Still Madly Crazy - duh

04 Lock the Door - how she left him

05 Whatever I Want - how he was a hoe

06 Living in New York City - also, about him being a hoe and how NYC has so many temptations

07 Love Can Grow Back - how she needs to give him a chance

08 Black Tar Cloud - f*** knows what tar is but assuming this is about how the whole period without her has been a 'black cloud' for him

09 Too Little Too Late - oops miley grinded on his crotch too much i guess

10 Tippy Toes - also means 'get some'. duh

11 Something Bad - not at that time tho

12 The Opposite of Me - how she's amazing and he's a hoe

13 Time of Your Life - is that a threat?

14 Forever Love - creepy shit omg

paula, dear, say NO please.

creepy as f***

"This is just the beginning" at the end of that video - that poor woman :drama: I have no intention of listening to the album but I can't wait to see the lyrics. I wonder how his label allowed this?

I just listened to his new album - I was very worried that the album will be dreary and desperate crap considering how he is promoting it (which I don't like).

Boy was I wrong! I am presently surprised how majority of the songs have up-beat melody and catchy beats. I'm so happy he is back to his RnB sound, to me this is his best album so far. Black Tar, Little To Late, Tippy Toes and especially Something Bad are my favorites so far - and I can't believe how Time Of You Life is so upbeat and fun, I thought it would be a heavy ballad.
