Really loving this now! It's like a male version of 'Say Something'.
WOW I'm LOVING this! Awesome return and the style really suits him imo!

Dear god. Just when we are in a primetime for great house music a little twerp like this has to pop up and bring it down to levels it has never been to before. This is such an offensive attempt to ride on what he deems as the latest 'trend', which can easily be seen as he never ventured into this area before. Even the concept of great house music somehow being a 'trend' or a 'fad' is really rather horrible to think.

And it is suuuuuch a blatant rip off of 'Say Something' it ain't even funny. Go away Conor.

LOVING the song and the video aswell, he usually makes me cringe but the whole mood of it really matches the song perfectly. Yes, it is kinda similar to Say Something (though as a whole song I wouldn't say so, it's just that the progression of the chorus's melody that reminds me properly of it) but the whole feel of it gives me more Shift K3Y vibes. I think this style really suits him though, he's got the right kind of voice that this type of sound actually seems quite natural for him to be going into it, even if to an extent it is quite trend-chasing admittedly.

He gets way too much hate but this is a strong single imo, should guarantee him a bigger hit than the awful 'R U Crazy' (the only dud in his singles so far for me).

I saw the Say Something comparisons but I wasn't expecting this to pretty much BE Say Something  I like it but Karen did it better and pop Conor did it better. I've loved all of his singles previous to this but I feel this may be the one that I just like.

It doesn't sound any worse than a lot fo the derivative house we've had clogging up the chart to be fair... I did love Say Something though and this just feels like a real attempt at a hit by copying that and a few other recent hits.

It's pretty bad anyway... I'm not a fan of him in general (he himself is SO offputting, so punchable and I'm not even sure why) but I loved Can't Say No and Animal so it's not as if he's incapable of good music.

Artists like Conor Maynard jumping on the house bandwagon just proves that house will soon go back underground, just like how Taylor Swift killed dubstep.

I doubt Taylor actually killed dubstep.

It's silly to say this is a Say Something rip-off, I'd assume he hadn't even heard that when he wrote this. The comparisons are definitely there, I think Say Something mixed with Shift K3Y is spot on actually.

I'm usually pretty oblivious when it comes to song comparisons - hell, I barely even hear similarities in notorious examples like 'Midnight Memories'/'Pour Some Sugar On Me' - but this legit is just 'Say Something'. An inferior version at that.

Were there any dubstep influenced hits after 'I Knew You Were Trouble'? It became less credible after Taylor Swift did it and thus vanished from the chart.

This is a copy of songs like 'Say Something' and artists like Shift K3y almost as much as Tulisa's recent song was a knock-off version of Hideaway.

It's the same style as Say Something and heck, it even has the same melody in parts, but what I'm saying is that it isn't a copy because it's unlikely he'd have even known the song when this happened. There's a difference between a similar sound and a copy.

And no, that doesn't mean Taylor killed dubstep or made it less credible  It had died down by then pretty much anyway, no?

I'm getting Shift K3y vibes from this too. I've gotta be honest, I was expecting a lot better from him than this, the production on 'R U Crazy' was amazing, so I was hoping for him to continue where that left off. This is just a mildly catchy generic dance song.

Also, is he really going fully OA/OS with this? I don't think that strategy really suits an artist like him, especially if the record company are aiming for a high chart position. Sounds like one mess of a release tbh. EDIT: I can't see it on iTunes so I'm guessing he just meant the video premiers today and it will be out in a few weeks? I'd actually be really shocked if this is getting an OA/OS release.
