I don't think they will add Neon trees to be honset but instead could be Mallory Knox - Ghost in the mirror it is track of the day today so it has a chance
Is that new Dr Meaker/Sian Evans on the playlist yet? Ive heard it quite a bit, could be big!
I really don't see the problem with Bastille releasing another single from 'Bad Blood' (other than the potential for it to be playlisted in place of a fav's single, which I understand). It obviously will only get very limited attention and it's not like there's a requirement that they lay low for at least half a year between album campaigns to prevent overexposure. I get that argument for the likes of Katy Perry as each single has its own media assault but not with acts like Bastille. It's good to see their album sales still ticking over and if 'Oblivion' in any way helps maintain that for another while, I'm all for it.
Another prediction from me - The 1975 - Heart Out (impact date 11th August). R1 love The 1975 and 'Heart Out' is much better single choice than 'Robbers' and 'Settle Down' imo.

Wow, the 1975 are also milking their album to death!

I don't have a problem with albums being milked in this way per se, but I'd rather hear new music from Bastille and The 1975.

And right on cue, just as I finish typing this, 'Flaws' by Bastille starts playing on Radio 1

Fair enough. I'd imagine the new music's release won't be delayed at all by both bands' singles though as it's not like they'll be promoting them much instead of working on their new albums, so hopefully there'll be new stuff soon from both!

There are so many artists like Bastille and The 1975 who end up being One album wonders, they need to milk as many sales as they can, because you never know how much they might struggle on the next eras.

Ala Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis, Pixie Lott, Most likely Cher Lloyd and Sophie Ellis-Bextor

I expect the thinking behind Bastille and The 1975 squeezing another single from their albums is to keep the album selling through the festival season.
What are the chances of Nicole being playlisted given the fact she's number 2 in the midweeks?

It's going to have to be playlisted for a long time to keep the album around until Christmas...

Are you getting festival and festive mixed up?

I don't particularly mind acts milking an album as much as possible (especilly with 'Bad Blood' and 'The 1975' still selling so long after release) but it does start to seem quite :drama: when this is the ELEVENTH (EDIT: possibly 12th actually) release from Bastille, counting all the re-releases separately.
When is Weight of Living, Pt 2 getting released, probably best song on the album. or These Streets..

Lower than low

Oh, my mistake! I was wondering...

What are the chances of Nicole being playlisted given the fact she's number 2 in the midweeks?

Nil.

They didn't playlist 'Boomerang' after it was #1 in the midweeks.
