Does this have any chance in the world of keeping 5SOS off #1? I suppose 5SOS's album will have fairly big sales so they should easily debut at #1. I do quite like 5SOS though!

5SOS aren't releasing an album this week. And even if they were, Ed would blow them out the water.

I've gone for #1 with 75k-100k. I can't see it doing above 100 for some reason.

It's hard to say right now I think, 5SOS obviously have the fanbase factor but then Ed will probably have quite good 2nd week sales anyway. Will be interesting to see in a couple of weeks' time!

Yes, I know. I mean can Ed stay 2 weeks at the top. Sorry for not making it clear :)

I would be very surprised if Ed sold more in his second week than 5SOS in their first but it's pretty likely 5SOS will only be ahead of him for one week.
I would have thought 5SOS will debut with lower sales than The Vamps, who did 47k, but I guess I don't know very much about their fanbase. I'd still imagine Ed's second week is likely to beat them.
?!?

#1 is as guaranteed as anything in pop music. I'll say 125k.

I don't feel like there's much buzz.

I think 5SOS will easily get higher sales than The Vamps - She Looks So Perfect sold a lot more than any Vamps single has in its first week, plus they've got slipcases of their album which will probably add a few extra sales from obsessive fans :P Plus their pre-order has been consistently top 40 on the iTunes album chart, something which couldn't be said for Meet The Vamps if I remember correctly.

(sorry, kinda going off on a tangent )

Ha, I was hoping for a detailed Joseph response on the differences between the releases when I posted that :D. Thanks, it'd be extremely impressive if they managed 50k+.

With Plus selling in such large numbers, and his new singles/songs performing well on downloads i think he will manage a minimum of 150,000 sales on debut week.

You mean other than the no 1 single and the fact that the album has been top 10 on preorders for a while now?

Yes. Pretty sure Alexandra Burke was top 10 on pre-orders for ages before HOH was released.

I have no recollection of this, though it seems unlikely.
