Not really surprised after it's been top 100 on pre-orders for a while but very impressive for a song like 'Budapest' to make the top 5. Even bigger than 'Another Love'! I'm sure he'll be as much of a one hit wonder as Tom Odell though :P Great to see Gorgon City in the top 5 again as well, 'Here For You' is another great song from them.

I see The Kooks are potentially coming for another top 40 hit, this release has passed me by even more than 'Down' did. Although apssing me by even more than that is the new Klaxons single - I was vaguely aware they *had* a new song but had no idea it was out this week. Oops.

1 5 Seconds of Summer - Don't Stop 1.0000

+ 20% from the other version + tons of EP sales.

Great another song that will be #1 then bomb down the chart. Wonder if this will even be top 10 by the end of the week?

In all fairness 'She Looks So Perfect' turned out to be a long running hit even though it had a major second week slump in sales. Maybe now 5SOS are abit more established, 'Don't Stop' may have a better run in the Top 10.

When combined and weighted:

1. 5 Seconds of Summer - Don't Stop - 1.0000

2. Ella Henderson - Ghost - 0.7900

:cheer:

Don't Stop isn't as terminally awful as She Looks So Perfect was, but still :manson: at it looking like a #1 single for them.

Ella  1

5SOS  2

:kink:

They're obviously ahead combined still. Might be a revert though.

This week will be an interesting battle for number 1. I can actually see Ella's sales increasing with airplay. And 5SOS, though have massive fan-mutli buying combined efforts, managed at least a day or two at number 1 last time.

Boo at all of these NE already falling. Took it as a good sign for The Kooks that "Around Town" was in the T40 on iTunes, but it doesn't have an EP to fall back on like "Down". Really lost touch with this band, but the singles thus far are great, can't wait for the album in September. Still, with multiples/ineligible tracks removed it is still #35.

'Don't Stop' top version already down to 92%.

I'm hoping they will do what The Vamps did and be number one on the chart update but Ella will go on to outsell them by Sunday!

I don't mind 5SOS, I certainly don't despise them like a posters here seem to, but I really hope Ella gets a a second week at the top
Looks like Ella should be able to keep the number 1 spot this week
It's way too early to say, still. 5SOS had a huge lead in the midweeks last time despite not getting that far ahead on iTunes, so it's still all to play for.

5SOS has dropped so fast I reckon Ella can well make a second week! (especially as on Radio 1 playlist A now and more promo this week for the album pre-order)
