So barring the most unlikely of turnarounds in goal difference the top 4 is confirmed this season (:cheer:)

All eyes on the relegation battle now but even that could be settled next week if Hull lose at Spurs & other results don't go their way.

Hull the favourites for the drop now. Although I still think they could get a result against Spurs in particular and Man United. I wish Newcastle would go down tbh, its a shell of a club right now.

Sunderland's win yesterday was quite funny, two massively deflected goals against the run of play. Forgot Danny Graham was still there as well!

I went to Villa Park yesterday for the Villa v West Ham match and Villa deserved the win if I'm honest. West Ham offered very little in the first half and only improved when Nolan and Amalfitano were replaced with Song and Nene at half time. Never really looked like scoring though and Grealish and Cleverley impressed for Villa. Always forget how good a ground Villa Park is too, very close to the pitch and a surprisingly good atmosphere!

I don't think QPR will come straight back to the Premier League next season but Burnley will. Thank God for Liverpool not winning today but now Man Utd need to try and finish higher than 4th so that we don't have to play the champions of Austria or the runners up of the Ukrainian league etc.. in August.
Meh, today's performance just about summed up Liverpool's season. Lots of creativity, but the final ball/lack of quality in the final third really shows. If we had Sturridge available all season we would have finished Top 4. Obviously it hurts, but realistically for the long term I think the Europa League is better for the squad we currently have. Need to invest big on at least one quality player in the summer, and 100% not Benteke.

Benteke is a good player though :o. He does have a tendency to blow hot and cold though I must admit.

Who are Liverpool realistically gonna sign anyway? The time to strengthen was surely last summer with the Champions League carrot and 2nd place fresh in the memory.

Good player, but he does not suit the way Liverpool want to play. We need players to run in behind the defence, it was a massive problem why we were so shit for the first 3 months.

We will sign a load of freebies, then probably £20m on a striker and then maybe a right back too for a bit less of the price. Thing is we strengthened last summer, just we strengthened the squad and not the team.

Can't really see QPR or Burnley going back up next season. QPR have an ageing squad.
Swansea are gonna get a Europa League place this season (again!) :cheer:

Following on from QPR's relegation. They have began legal proceedings against the Football League over their Financial Fair Play rules. QPR could face a £58m fine over their overall losses that they have suffered.

How do people see Steven Gerrard's final game at Anfield going for him?

Think it will just be a standard game, probably 2-1 Liverpool haha.

Seeing loads of whiffs about saying Gerrard is not in the best 10 Premier League players ever!!!! I think so many people just forget how seriously good he was at his peak. He could have played in any top team in the world and improved them, that's how good he was.

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore has been suspended by his club and the FA over testing positive for cocaine. Silly boy.

He could face a two-year ban from football.

Do or die for Hull today, they lose they're effectively down. Lucky that Sunderland are facing Leicester so at least one of them will drop points.

Biggest interest for me today is the 6th/7th/8th battle, I can see Southampton losing, Spurs drawing & then Swansea winning tomorrow.

 and this is why I'm not a betting man!

Hahaha.

Absurd from Mané. Sub three minutes for the whole hatrick!

They're casually 5-0 up at 40 minutes.

Thank f*** next weekend is a bank holiday because I don't think I'll be able to get through next Sunday without alcohol. :drama:

Hull must defeat United next week & hope Newcastle & Sunderland don't pick up points.

A lot depends on the match tomorrow, if United lose they can only end up fourth so won't really have anything to play for against Hull but if they win they will be doing everything to ensure they finish third & avoid the CL play-off.
