I think Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz are likely to be the next UK streaming chart #1, "Am I Wrong" never looked like overthrowing "Rude" (currently 4 weeks at #1 now) and seemed destined to stall at #2.

I think without held back releases Magic would have been No1 for 4 weeks or something - it's def the most popular song of the summer!

The streaming chart is certainly a much more accurate reflection of popularity than the singles chart at least.

Cheryl Cole peaked at number 22.

I am liking the demographics widget on Spotify. 75% of people who listen to 5 Seconds of Summer are female, and pretty much half of listeners are 17 or under. I mean it doesn't tell you anything you don't already know I suspect - but it is interesting nonetheless.

Do most songs generally get added to spotify well ahead of release? What's the average time between being added to spotify and being available to download? Is there any kind of 'spotify release schedule'?

Would love to see this too. From what ive seen in the first 2 months most songs are added upon radio release but other than the biggest hits like Magic they only rise to the top 20 or so - which is why Meghan Trainor is doing very well in the top 30 already 4 weeks before release.

Most take a while to rsie to the top 10 usually after sales release!

Yeah, it would make sense for a song to be available to stream once it's been sent to radio. I guess it's also in the best interests of the record company to do this too.
