I can totally see this being the Cheryl/MAGIC! situation. Cheryl selling more but MAGIC! having way more streams and them winning because of that. Would teach record companies a lesson tbh but as Cheryl is so close to MAGIC! on pre-orders it's not a foregone conclusion. Gosh I do love a close unpredictable chart battle! :dance:

:o !! This has to receive a push here and I'm fairly sure radio (almost certainly Capital) would be on board, this song has suddenly really clicked with me in the past couple of weeks.

I really doubt streaming is going to make any difference to the Cheryl/MAGIC! outcome. 'Rude' will only have an advantage of a few thousand from streaming, I still think Cheryl is going to be a few tens of thousands ahead most likely.

 

'Classic' doing so well on streaming seems very anomalous, the rest of the streaming chart is mostly in line with the sales chart except with a stronger showing for more 'alternative' acts, yet MKTO are about as far as you can get from 'alternative' and are doing a lot better on streams than sales. I mean, aside from Ed Sheeran album tracks there's only one other (available to download) song in the Spotify top 40 that isn't a top 10 hit and that's 'Let It Go' which is a different case entirely. :unsure:

By the way, 'Shower' is already available to download here in the UK.
