Another tie to start us off with but 'Little Me' loses out on 59th place to 'My Heart Takes Over'. Both wonderful ballads, would've been nice to see them do a little better, but the standard is ridiculously strong! The first ever girl band single I bought on CD, 'Wake Me Up' drops out at 58. This holds great memories for me (that Top Of The Pops performance *.* ) so I'd have liked to see it higher. The Spices lose another ballad, this time it's 'Too Much'. Not a favourite of theirs for me, they have much better ballads that have already gone. :( Finally a surprise in that 'Can't Speak French' has finished much higher than I expected. No 11's but look at the amount of 10s and 9s! Sorry Jahq.

I'm actually shocked it's so high - it and HYD are usually reviled on here. 'Little Me' is imminent, surely? But I hope (and think), the other 4 LM songs will be pretty high up.

Wings, Move, Salute and DNA, I think? Probably be in that order = my guess!

EDIT: LM and MHTO BOTH out in the same round? I just can't

Surprised to see My Heart Takes Over getting FOUR 11's, I like plenty of their ballads but I've never really got behind MHTO. Here Standing is miles better in their ballad stakes imo.

Quite a few sad losses here.

My Heart Takes Over and Too Much are amazing, great ballads. Little Me is also very nice.

Can't Speak French is also good fun.

Wings, Move, Salute and DNA, I think? Probably be in that order = my guess!

Move will beat Wings imo, I believe it won the Little Mix rate so I expect a similar result here.

Now Too Much????? :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

Glad Sugababes finished dead last with that terrible “Girls”, that was when they lost all credibility for me and “Walk This Way” such an awful cover, hated it when it came out and still hate it now, “No Can Do” was an actually better song but not surprised it finished so low though.

All Saints “Chick Fit” thought that would have finished lower, but glad it’s the lowest ranking single of theirs, such an awful comeback album as well. “Cannonball” I liked that single but Little Mix have done a lot better stuff though and “Get Sexy” another dross Sugababes single, and another that basically killed them off.

Glad that “Headlines” finished last for the Spice Girls, such a dull comeback and completely ruined their almost perfect run of hits. And “I Think We’re Alone Now” another awful Girls Aloud cover, “Money” would have been a better single. The Saturdays “Gentleman” is another bad single choice for the girls.

“Under The Bridge” actually liked their version of that and “Lady Marmalade” shame both quite decent covers and Girls Aloud “See The Day” not that fussed on either, they should have brought out “Whole Lotta History” for the X-Mas market and then released “Models” as the 4th single from that album. Spice Girls “Holler” I did enjoy that one from them and the trio of Sugababes singles “Follow Me Home”, “Shape” and “Wear My Kiss” are just plain terrible and surprised that “Beautiful Cause You Loved Me” finished that high, given that it’s Girls Aloud biggest flop ever.

Bootie Call and Long Hot Summer, loved those singles and surprised that 30 Days finished that high, quite forgettable choice and loved “I Know Where It’s At” back in the day, love the late 90’s pop r&b kinda sound to it. “I’ll Stand By You” the only Girls Aloud cover I do like and loved “Mama” as well back in the day, but it’s kinda aged now though.

Again surprised that The Saturdays debut finished that high, glad they got much better with further releases, and Girls Aloud “Life Got Cold” quite decent and “Jump” is an okay cover. Little Mix “Little Me” is ok but such a safe choice, they should have released “Salute” second. “My Heart Takes Over” quite forgettable they should have went with “Get Ready Get Set” or “Faster” instead. Girls Aloud “Wake Me Up” and “Can’t Speak French” loved those.

This basically!!

Chick Fit and that album are unbelievably shit. WHy even bother?

Used to love I Know Where It's At and that old 1990s sound too.

The phrase 'Oh my, can certain people* not handle other people having different opinions?' seems like a nice theme to sum-up this thread.

*omg who might I be talking about? :o

As for the results so far, from what I can see looking through is that there doesn't seem to be too many criminal losses and a good few bad tracks tumbling out. Jump and Can't Speak French maybe as going out a little too early - hark at me bemoaning Girls Aloud not doing too well in a rate.

Things are coming together a bit better now. 'Can't Speak French', 'Little Me' and 'Too Much' are great songs, but they're more or less at the correct positions here. 'My Heart Takes Over' should be lower, their vocals sound almost screechy at times, and 'Wake Me Up' should be a bit higher.

'About A Girl' and 'Missing You' are outstaying their welcome.

Aled, have you hacked my spreadsheet? So 4.0 are the first Sugababes line-up OUT, what a surprise. 'About A Girl' is by far their best offering however. At 54 is 'Missing You' by The Saturdays. So very nearly their first number 1, Hurricane is very happy it wasn't. WHAT IS THIS? SHOCK EXIT?? :o 'Wings' by Little Mix limps over the line at 53! One of the biggest shocks for me, I thought top 40 AT LEAST for it. The gorgeous 'Caught In A Moment' finishes at a respectable 52, about right for it I think and The Saturdays recent chart SMASH 'Not Giving Up' is unlucky to finish just outside the top 50.

Missing You is amazing, one of their best.

Not Giving Up and About A Girl are catchy too!

'Mama' and 'If This Is Love' are the two big ones to have dropped out so far for me. The former in particular is painfully beautiful in all its cheese

Shocked at 'Wings' being this low. Always thought it was madly adored on here :o
