So glad Issues went top 50, it deserves it. It was never harshly criticized on the Sats forum until recent. Must be hated by all the new members

I love the video for Change

'Denial' should definitely be a bit higher. I feel it's one of very few songs where the third line-up really got it spot on in terms of what their sound should have been like. 'Change' is nice enough, but is pretty forgettable in the long run.

I adore 'Notorious', but I completely understand why it can be quite divisive. I think it probably succeeds in what it's doing in a way poor brave 'Gentleman' never quite managed. Love the painfully middle class Mollie singing the 'I'm a gangster on the dancefloor' line though. I don't really tend to listen to 'Issues' that often, but it does the job well, and it has a charming simplistic quality to it I guess.

'Rock Steady' should be much higher. I know the album and the rest of the campaign flopped miserably, but that is how you do a comeback single.

The remaining number of singles for each band in the top 40 are:

All Saints - 3 of 11 remaining

Spice Girls - 8 of 13 remaning

Sugababes - 10 of 28 remaining

Girls Aloud - 11 of 23 remaining

The Saturdays - 6 of 17 remaning

Little Mix - 2 of 9 remaining

Are there any singles that you can't believe have made it into the top 40? What are the must haves for the top 10?

To put it in perspective

All Saints - 27.3% of their songs left

Spice Girls - 31.6% of their songs left

Sugababes - 35.7% of their songs left

Girls Aloud - 47.8% of their songs left

The Saturdays - 35.3% of their songs left

Little Mix - 22.2% of their songs left

Into the top 40 and Sugababes 3.0 lose 'Red Dress' meaning they only have one song left in. The first single to feature Amelle and for me it's one of those songs that's you don't think of as a favourite but when you listen back it really is fantastic. A bit of a shock for me as at 39 Spice Girls lose 'Who Do You Think You Are'. An absolute classic, who could forget that Brits performance or the iconic Sugar Lumps music video?

Going through this thread is reminding me how superb Sugababes are. Disappointed at how badly Little Mix are doing, 'Wings' missing top 50 is ridiculous.
'Notorious' is dreadful. Never understood the love for it.

We've lost two fantastic songs there. :( 'Red Dress' is one of my absolute favourite Sugababes singles. Funnily enough I never much cared for the Mutya version when the album came out, but Amelle really lifted that track to greater heights. 'Who Do You Think You Are' is superb. Most iconic girl group performance ever:

BABY BABY BABY. One of The Saturdays finest selection 'Disco Love' drops out at 38. I'd have loved this to have been higher, but who care when it's Donna Summer all year long? *.* Sugababes 1.0 are the next line-up to have all of their singles out, as debut 'Overload' is at 37. I was never mad on this at the time and I'm still not, it's certainly not the pinnacle of girl band music some people make it out to be.

I like "Girls" and I don't think that it deserved to be at the bottom of the list. It was one of my most airplay songs in 2008. I don't give emphasis to the lyrics though.. :P

"Freedom" should be a mega hit for them but it seems that nobody loves it here (apart from a few exceptions). "Chick Fit" should be at the bottom of the list. It's very average song from a decent girl group! "No Can Do is not better though. I love "Soul Sound" and I don't get the hate about it. "Gentleman" has nice rhythm but the lyris are the worst for a girl group. I can't imagine someone to sing this song. "I Think We're Alone" is not a bad cover but we have to admit that Tiffany's version is much better than it. "Lady Marmelade" is too low in this rate!! I thought that "Holler would be much higher than this position (No.80). It's very catchy song. "Follow Me Home" is not bad but it's not something special too. It should be an album filler for them. "Beautiful Cause You Love Me" should be their lowest song in this rate. I couldn't imagine that they released this song after the exciting "Something New". "Wear My Kiss" is not bad bit it's so forgettable! "Long Hot Summer" was my most airplay song in 2005! "How 'Ya Doin? is my least favourite Little Mix song. "30 Days" is one my least favourite songs in this rate but "Forever Is Over" is one of my favourites! The Promise" is not overrated song. It deserves to be their second successful song in their discography! It's one of the best well-written songs for a girl group. "Missing You" should be higher than "Work". "Can't Speak French" was my most airplay song in 2008. The rhythm and the way of their singing are so addictive! I expected that "Wings' would be in the Top 20 based on the comments about this song in this forum.

The end of an era at 36 as the first Geri-less Spice release 'Goodbye' falls out. Such a beautiful song I'm surprised it didn't get any 11's. 'Love Machine' by Girls Aloud is at 35. Probably expected to do better but I for one am glad it hasn't. Really overrated song and I'm sad it's seen as their signature song. Still you can't argue with 3 11's and 19 10's!

Love Machine  I'm astounded Disco Love has got as high as it is, very weak Saturdays song and certainly won't be as remembered as many that have passed in this list.

NO GIRLS NO NO NO NO! Girls Aloud take a battering with both their 'Something...' greatest hits singles knocked out. 2012 comeback 'Something New' really was a comeback done SO RIGHT. A shame it wasn't taken to by the public and after a respectable #2 peak quickly left the charts. 'Something Kinda Ooooh' is at 33 and really now Buzzjack, this is a top 10 track if ever I've heard one! After the disappointing singles run from 'Chemistry' Girls Aloud kicked off their first retrospective with a total BANG. Mourn with me Joseph and Jay. </3
