Celebrate (Ft Jordin Sparks) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/9b/Celebrate_-_Official_Single_Cover.jpg/220px-Celebrate_-_Official_Single_Cover.jpg Avg: 4.409 Highest Rate: Pippa =7 Lowest Rate: Vibe =0.5 Right kicking off this countdown is "Celebrate" which was the last song Whitney recorded before she died, sung with Jordin Sparks and written by R Kelly for the soundtrack to the movie "Sparkle" in which both Whitney and Jordin starred in. Despite positive reviews the track failed to make a dent on the USA top 100, but it did manage to chart on it's component charts, peaking at #39 on the US Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs and at #26 on the US Adult Contemporay Charts. Worldwide the track managed to chart in Japan peaking at #48. Edited February 17, 20187 yr by SamJudd

Something In Common (Ft Bobby Brown) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/40/Somethingincommonduet.jpg/220px-Somethingincommonduet.jpg Avg: 4.545 Highest Rate: Insomino = 6.5 Lowest Rate: Kellyannmarie =1 Just outside the top 40 at #41 is "Something In Common" with then husband Bobby Brown, the solo version was included on his 1992 album "Bobby", the track was re recorded to feature Whitney Houston and was released as a single in December 1993. The song stands as the couple's first musical collaboration together and only one released, and the song itself examines two unlikely people coming together as they find "Something In Common". The track wasn't released in the USA despite the music video getting rotation. Worldwide the track charted highest in the UK peaking at #16 and made top 40 in New Zealand and Netherlands, as well as charting in Swiss and Germany. Edited February 17, 20187 yr by SamJudd
July 4, 201411 yr Author 40. One Of Those Days http://www.musicvf.com/wp/cache/img_song/75/JMGSong_48775.jpg Avg: 4.727 Highest Rate: Nick F1 & Insomino = 6.5 Lowest Rate: Kellyannmarie = 2 Now entering the top 40 and we have the first album release single to drop out. "One Of Those Days" released in October 2002 taken as the 2nd single from her 5th studio album "Just Whitney". The song was released after the under performance of lead single "Whatulookinat" and it samples The Isley Brothers track "Between The Sheets". In the USA it peaked at #72 and stayed on the charts for 19 weeks, becoming the most successful single from that album. The track was also released as the 2nd single worldwide except for the UK due to the flop of the lead single and album. It managed to chart best in Hungary peaking at #6 and also peaked top 10 in Belgium. But failed to make much impact in other countries, peaking at #48 in Australia released double a-side with "Whatulookinat" over there, and very low peaks of #80 and #94 in Netherlands and Swiss. Worldwide it managed top 30 in Ireland and Netherlands, and a #44 peak in the UK.

July 4, 201411 yr "Celebrate" is quite bad and it deserves to be at the bottom of the list. So uninspiring!! "Something in Common" and "One of those days" were average. I didn't expect that my 6.5 would be their highest vote. "Hold Me" is not a bad song but it's not great too. "Why does it hurt so bad" is a very relaxing song. PS My nick name is Insomnio and not Insomino.. :P

This track was originally written by Babyface for Whitney herself in 1994 but Whitney turned it down, but when it came to recording the soundtrack to the movie, she changed her mind due to real life circumstances of her troubled marriage to Bobby Brown. The track reached #26 in the USA and managed to chart in two other countries #45 in Canada and #99 in Australia.

Despite being named a highlight on the album by fans and critics and she even performed it live on TV series "Boston Public".

The single bombed on the US charts peaking at #96 (becoming her first lead single to miss the top 40), but it fared much better in the UK peaking at #13 but dropped out fast and the album bombed at #76 over there as well and due to this no other singles were released over there.
